Great location; opposite a lovely small beach and with 3 fantastic restaurants nearby. The Neptune is frequented by many locals say high to Nicholas and DonaLolas around the corner is a fantastic place to eat and watch the sunset.
The apartments are made up of those that have been renovated and those that have not. The later are a bit grim but not a disaster. We got one of the older rooms on arrival and requested a change. Waited for 3 nights for a room of choice but well worth it. No trouble at all and lovely friendly staff.
We didn't use the hotel but for sleeping in it, but thoroughly enjoyed. Booked through Alpha Rooms but you can do it direct and make special requests. Pool area looked really nice but we are more beach and get out types. October is a beautiful month to visit, great weather and the wind is usually not too strong.
If your looking to chill and do your own thing, this is a great place, enjoy.

These apartments are a real find....this is the first time we have stayed there, (we usually stay at Oasislanz but read many bad reports about the company that have now taken them over so we opted for a change this year). The Neptuno is adults only, so if you like peace and quiet both in your apartment and around the pool then these apartments are for you!! Fantastic staff, lovely rooms, great location. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed at The Neptuno the first couple of weeks in November 2011, and the room (and reception) refurbishment was still going on. Initially shown to a very noisy room next to reception, but on asking if there was anything quieter were shown to a room on the third floor. Although this was an unrefurbished room, and all the fittings were very elderly and quaint, the position of the room and the view across Jablillo Bay more than compensated for the worn fittings. The main thing is everything worked, although the pressure on the shower wasn't brilliant, the electric rings take a little while to get going, and hunting down the BBC on the TV was challenging at times.
In the main block, all the rooms face south west and have sun on most of them from 9.30 am onwards. Even at this time of year, because the balcony faces away from the prevailing NE trade wind, it was possible to eat out on the balcony after dark in the evening. One thing which we did enjoy was the lack of insect life (including no mosquitos) during this holiday, which we were rather surprised by, as there had been plenty about the previous fortnight when we were staying in Playa Blanca. Although we had hired a car for the duration of our holiday, it would not be essential to do so to stay at this hotel, as everything from beach, shops and bars is literally on your doorstep.
The hotel offers a comprehensive breakfast in the German style (i.e.continental plus cold meats and cheeses etc) for around 6 or 7 euros. Although we never used it it always seemed well patronised by the rest of the mainly German clientele, and was taken alfresco on tables around the pool area. The hotel does not have its own bar, but this is not necessary as there are a range of bars and restuarants within a couple of minutes walk.
Unfortunately there are no lifts in the hotel, so it is definitely not suitable for disabled guests. Neither did there appear to be any form of porter service, so if you've brought 20 kilos in your suitcase, and you're on the third floor, you'll have to haul it up there yourself. As mentioned in other reviews, due to the hotel layout some of the rooms have bedrooms with small windows onto the rear corridor as the only form of light/ventilation, and I could understand these being less tranquil than the room we were fortunate enough to be given.
Beds were comfortable, and the furnishings in the separate lounge/kitchen were adequate. The rooms were cleaned and rubbish cleared most days, and bedding changed twice a week. Mainly though, the hotel scores high marks for its location just (literally) a stones through from a great swimming beach (Jablillo) and its sun all day balconies where you could sit and watch the continuous procession of people walking along the promenade behind the beach. When we come back to Costa Teguise, we will choose Neptuno again.

Room Tip: Upper floors have better view

This hotel is fine. All previous reviews (both positive and negative) are correct. The truth is it is average. Tired in parts, but presently in the process of being updated. Ana (staff) was professionally distant with us. Card machine didn't work for payments so had to use cashpoint.

There are cockroaches, but apparently they are to be expected all over the island. I will say that the comments about cleanliness are spot on. The cleaners are very hard working.

Pool was shockingly cold, even at the end of a long hot summer. Couldn't really use it. Beaches had lots of jellyfish washed in during my stay so had no choice but to use the b
very cold pool.

Lovely that there are no children!

Room Tip: 401 has excellent views.

We stayed for 10 nights at the Neptuno Hotel. We were late arriving at 6.45,we understood that the Hotel has no reception after 6pm at weekends but Hannah the recetionist stayed back for us . We were shown to our room and found that the patio doors would not open ,but we were given another room straight away. The room was one of the refurbished ones which was nicely layed out .We had fantastic views of the sea .The hotel is adult only and on several occations it appeared that we were the only people in the Hotel. The pool is very cold and the atmosphere was very quite and layed back and very close to all shops and bars .
