Just returned from a week at this hotel, a very relaxing holiday could probably had done with 10 days not 7 though. The hotel itself was clean although my wife and I both agreed our room was rather tired and could have done with some updating, there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room either.
For those who want it WiFi comes at an extra cost too around 19 euros per person per week.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful and work tirelessly to help you enjoy your stay, the entertainment team seem to work from sun up to sun down and were always cheerful.
When it comes to eating you have the choice of the main restaurant or the one by the pool(I forget it's name) the food is good although the choice not always up to some other places I've stayed at, the down sides to these restaurants were that the main restaurant was always too hot, especially when men have to wear long trousers in the evening and not enough staff in the other resulting in birds including some huge crows being able to get in amongst the the tables, plates and food, more staff could possibly have helped but who knows.
The choice of bars and refreshments is good and you generally get served pretty quickly. Toilets in the hotels main building were kept clean but still smelt probably due to lack of ventilation or fresheners.
The beach was nice and very clean, you do get to see more than you bargain for with nudists walking along it. Sun lounges are available to rent at a cost of €13.50 for two beds and a parasol for the dayand they are marked off, you are give a corresponding ticket so you can go away and come back.
Even with what may appear as a long list of gripes we had a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights in October 2017.

The hotel is clean and and the staff work very hard.
Our room was adequate but very basic. It was cleaned every day and the maid was lovely. We had tea and coffee in the room and bottles of water.

The food is basic and edible, some days better than others.
The main restaurant is chaos most of the time it’s a challenge to avoid colliding with other guests on the way to get your food. Fighting through the hoards of people to get even a look at the buffet is no fun.
There is a separate restaurant over looking the sea that is lovely setting for breakfast and lunch, but again the food is not great. It’s only available to adult only guests in the evening.

The banding system didn’t cause us any issues, we were on blue bands but didn’t see any preferential treatment for the black band (premium) guests.

Fuertuventura is beautiful, the beaches are amazing.

Visit the beach bar Caretta, it’s a must. Beautiful setting and fantastic food.

Oasis Park (zoo) is only 25 mins away and a great day out. The grounds are beautiful and the animals are very well cared for.

In summary the hotel is ok but there are lots of improvement required and it most definitely not worthy of a 5T star resort.

Would we visit again? Probably not as we wanted a relaxing 4/5 Star and got a good 3 Star.

Disappointing points for me -
Had to pay extra for the safe in the room
Had to pay extra for wi fi and you could only use this on one device at once.
Couldn’t use the gym as it was for adult only guests.
For me these should be included in an all inclusive 5T hotel!

I know in writing this review some readers will say im nit picking , and I'm sure many people have enjoyed their holiday here, but I have visited many 4/5 star hotels around the world and I know what I can expect from a 4 star hotel ,so here goes!!!
Except for a handful of staff they were all very miserable no one ever said Good morning or smiled, I'm sure lack of staff was the reason for this , our first week queues were 15 deep at every bar , we were in the adult section and we couldn't even get a small bottle of water at the bar we had to have tap water!!! You could if you paid 21 euros a day to upgrade to black band .
Restaurant : I have seen better canteens furnished better , for the first week we had to get our own cups and saucers , tables were never laid properly and finished plates were never cleared till we vacated our table, we were two couples and when we put two tables at the back of the room together we were told we couldn't do that and we should sit in family section (we paid for adult ) and why the men have to wear long trousers in these surroundings , where smart knee length shorts would suffice.
Breakfast and lunch were very good , Dinner plenty of vegetables but no joint of meat to go with it , pork or lamb chops were cooked some nights but by the time you had queued for them there was none left ,
Rooms very nice no tissues or shower cap in bathroom , no tea making facilities unless of corse you were black band , you are supposed to have two bottles of water left in your room everyday , for the first four days we had to go to reception to say none had been left .
Pool towels you can only change them four times on a 14 day stay,
This hotel is not for the less mobile if you like the beach there are over one hundred steps to it ,
Overall the hotel lets itself down as it is a nice looking hotel grounds are very well kept
Definitely wouldn't return (our original holiday was cancelled) this was our only option
There is nothing to do outside hotel but the town of Jandia has some lovely shops bars and restaurants

Well first Day here, given our room which is at the back of the resort, we’re on the ground floor with absolutely no balcony or social area, there are no big lights so to get any light you have to have the broken doors open and allow every Tom, di@k and Harry to walk past and look in.
Just been down to have evening meal to be told that MEN have to have long trousers and shirts on in ALL restaurants, not women though they can wear both skirts and SHORTS. When questioned about this quit frankly SEXIST rule apparently it’s been this way for years (I can only assume since 1957 and Not 2017) well they forget to inform the travel agents about this so that you can pack for it, but alas they said they can lend me some trousers though... I’m not sure if I paid to come on a relaxing holiday or to have a PE lesson at school. Beer is cheap and drinks are cheap but that’s expected, lunch was 3 different types of pizza and salty chips so enjoy the carbs because they’ll be the only enjoyable experience here.

Thanks for taking time on writing a review.

We are very sorry that you decided tyo write a opinion on your first day only because of the dress code. There are a lot of good and bad points about this hotel; all in all we had a great holiday but there’s a lot I wish I’d have known before booking this hotel.

To me the band system isn’t an issue at all, if you research before you go it won’t be a shock to you. I found there was no preferential service given to black band holders, and the extras you get for black band I don’t think are worth it - I’d recommend silver as you can access all the pools and bars.

The main issue at this hotel is that it’s overcrowded, and in turn that takes away from the relaxation you hope to get. Everything feels like a battle. Breakfast is just chaos, it’s a fight to get a sunbed, there’s long queues for the bars etc - you don’t want to be in a chaotic environment when on holiday!

Now down to personal preference, if you enjoy eating out of the hotel, exploring local restaurants and don’t like buffets, do not go to this resort! There is nothing around and the 2 restaurants we did try outside of the hotel were terrible - it was like a ghost town. Then sitting in a rubbish, hot and crowded buffet where everyone breathes down your neck whilst you go food was an absolute mood killer - we dreaded it. Our saving grace was the Caretta Beach restaurant at the bottom of the steps from the hotel to the beach - it may look like a shack from the outside but the service, atmosphere and food is just perfect, it made our holiday!

The actual hotel itself is just stunning (as you will see from the photos) the rooms are nice, we had a gorgeous balcony view. The mini fridges are kept empty which was handy so we filled with water snacks and canned drinks from the supermarket over the road.

The ‘all inclusive’ isn’t like I’ve known before - once it stops at 11pm all of the bars shut down completely so you don’t have the option to stay and pay for drinks, or buy different drinks that aren’t included in your band. Saying that, the only branded beer they offer is Heineken so if you don’t like that then don’t bother with black band!

It is very very windy but we got used to it and later on experienced a few days without wind and it was almost too hot so you come to like it!

In general, it is a lovely resort but there’s a LOT of room for improvement and the price I paid was way over what it should be.
