Booked an adult package - on landing we queued to be told to join a further queue and handed a form to be filled in en route to the hotel and also told the bus bay number. After a 20 minute wait with others we were directed to another bay and bus and then a Rep kept getting on and off the bus saying sorry for the delay awaiting another flight and passengers. No-one got on and after a further 30 min delay we set off. We queued to register at the hotel and dumped out bags in our room around 4.30 p.m.. (after landing at 12.30.) desperate for food and a drink.

The hotel is very clean, pleasant, peaceful and well maintained. The adult chill-out area is lovely with the double seats and views of the sea. The bar which is accessed over the bridge above the swimming pool is only open from 5 p.m. but is lit by candles and is excellent for a pre dinner drink.
The food is varied and we visited both the a la carte and tapes rest option which made a welcome variation from the main rest. We appreciated the adult only areas of the hotel and felt it worked well.
The animation team work hard especially Davide, my wife attended Yoga and I tried archery and shooting we also went to the nightly shows. Staff are obliging and friendly and if you wish for blankets etc they are quickly available.Toiletries are sparse(2 sachets of shower gel for 2 people daily)
Many steps down to the beach would be a problem for those with mobility problems but the hotel itself has ramped areas and lifts so would be alright.

The weather was sunny but with a chilly wind a couple of days.

We enjoyed our holiday but would agree with others hotel 4 stars not 5 as portrayed by First Choice. First Choice need to get their act together at the arrivals airport they have a communication problem and this gets holidays off to a bad start

Just come back from the Jandia Princess and were blessed with amazing weather mid to high seventies most days.
The hotel is aesthetically beautiful and the view onto the white sand and azure blue sea leaves you wondering where you are, this is truly the Caribbean of the Canaries. 7 miles of white sandy beaches to Costa Calma and 3 miles to Jandia.
The food was really good and I cant understand what the grumps have been about, most lunch times I ate sardines, shellfish, calamari, fish all freshly cooked with canary potatoes and heaps of salad and in the evenings there was a carvery and at least six choices . The cheese board was amazing.
Hotel spotless and cleaned constantly, my only complaint was the alcohol, the spirits were really rough, but this seems to be par of course in most all-inclusive's. Your have to pay for wi-fi and bottled water but in the grand scheme of things not a huge inconvenience.
The animation team were par excellence these guys and girls give 100 percent and must put in a 12 to 14 hour day to keep everyone happy, sadly some miserable gits never are. They put on shows every second night including Grease, Les Miserables (which was excellent) and a version of River Dance. Davide and his team really go out of their way to encourage people to participate and enjoy the games. The kids in particular really enjoyed playing killer darts, table tennis & killer pool. The kids club was excellent and again the girls went out of their way to make sure the kids were happy.
A real chill pill and just what our family needed, we will be back next winter, can't wait.

This hotel was utterly amazing. We had paid a little extra and booked a suite in the adult section. It was worth every penny and more. I cried with happiness when we went into our room and saw what it looked like. BEAUTIFUL!! Huge bedroom and huge lounge, private double terrace with Sun lounges, table and chairs and a stunning Bali bed which overlooked the sea. Breathtaking. Stunning contemporary interior with frosted glass and granite bathroom which led into a gorgeous dressing room. The hotel itself was beautiful too and the staff were brilliant. Want to go back again and again and again!! Best holiday ever.

We've just read several negative reviews of this hotel and we would like to put the record straight. We have just returned from our 7 days stay at the Club Jandia Princess and we were really pleased with the general standard offered by this hotel. Firstly we would like to say that the staff at this hotel are really pleasant and hard-working. Our room was cleaned every day to a very high standard. The staff working at the bars and in the restaurants were friendly despite often being really busy. The standard of food in the canteens was always good, and the choice was often varied, with something to suit all tastes. We upgraded to the Silver wristbands, based on what we had read in previous reviews, and were glad we did.... This entitles you to "access all areas" a room in the adults only section, and use of adults only bars and pools. This also entitles you to an evening meal in one of two smarter restaurants, with a choice of three course pre-selected when booking. Both evenings were great. The food quality and service was really good, with a live guitar player in the background... a nice touch. We found the local drinks at the bars to be perfectly fine, and the cold Estrella was always enjoyable ! The location of the hotel is fairly remote... Those complaining about this need to do their research in future ! We hired a car and drove from the airport to the hotel, skipping check-in queues (Don`t use Goldcar... Lots of added extras to pay ! Go with Avis based at the Airport) We used the car to go on some really brilliant day trips, firstly to the Punta de Jandia lighthouse to sit on by the sea and Marvel at the sheer power of the Atlantic Ocean... Also the drive on "off-road" style tracks was good fun ! Secondly, we went to Cofete to see the stunning beach... This beach and the views are simply amazing ! The journey is all off-road, but we did it in a Citroen D3. A 4x4 is not a necessity. Only tackle this drive if you are a confident driver... with a sense of adventure. The payoff was the most amazing views and a jaw-dropping beach with 20 foot waves giving you a reminder of the awesome power of mother nature ! Another great beach to visit is Risco del Paso, around 10k north of the Jandia Princess. It`s huge expanse of golden sand had large pools filled with sea water, which were safe to walk through, being only knee deep. Finally Morro Jable beach was a lovely place to chill out and sunbathe... YES, there are German nudists. Just avert your eyes, and have a little chuckle to yourself ! A final word... Make sure that you catch the excellent Celinejazz in the reception bar area at the hotel. They were really good, and took the time to chat to guests to ask if there were any requests. Without prompting, they dedicated "Lady in Red" to my gorgeous girlfriend... A lovely surprise :)
We would love to return in the future!
Thanks for a brilliant holiday!

This hotel is nice, fairly modern but I would not describe it as 'recently refurbished throughout' as the brochure did. The rooms are nice and fairly modern but the outside areas are very scruffy in places such as parths and tiles in the pools (something the hotel are aware of as they were attempting to repair some parts while we were there).

I would also not give it a 5 'sun' rating as it clearly states it is only 4 star officially and it is certainly not currently worth higher than that.

The food was fine, it's the usual buffet style that you get everywhere on all inclusive...some people love it, some are ok with it, some hate it....depends what you expect. There are two A La Carte restuarants which make a nice change but you have to choose your food when you book these which is a bit odd and we found one very good (although might be slightly based as they had decorated our table for my Birthday and gave us a complimentary bottle of very nice wine), the other a bit disappointing in terms of quality and also the fact it had been relocated 'due to weather' which we suspect was actually because it was so quiet this time of year. It is also unclear that you have to pay for bottles of wine in these restaurants, they show you to a table which already has an unopened bottle on it which could be misleading to some people.

We did have to complain to Thomson whilst there re the banding systems and adults only areas. We paid extra for the adults only upgrade and then found people who had not paid (blue bands) in the adult only areas including the pools, the bar, the exclusive A La Carte and the adult only seating areas of the main restaurant. We were told that if couples etc. without children were staying at the hotel, the were allowed to use the adult only areas, without paying but they cannot get a drink at the bar - this was not true or at least, not enforced. The rep (Andrew) was great and did negotiate a few extra freebies for us to compensate which was appreciated but we do feel Thomson should adjust their brochure description to properly explain what you think you are getting for the extra.

One of the highights of this hotel/location.....squirrel island....check it out, so cute!!

Unfortunately, when we booked this holiday, we did not twig that the 'Princess' part of the hotel name in fact refers to a group of hotels....slightly embarrasing given we went to a Princess in Gran Canaria a couple of years ago! Why is this important? because we reaslised when we found the same little niggles here as we did there....lack of water in rooms, no place to get a drink (coffee, water, juice) between 11pm and 10am other than the main restaurant at breakfast...not major deal-breakers but the least you would expect from a 4/5 star surely? We will be keeping our eyes open in future and not booking a Princess hotel as we do not feel they warrant the Platinum rating Thomson give them.

Just back today from jandia princess hotel brilliant food great staff work hard always smling . Only thing I did not like was the different bands your weren't allowed to go certain parts of the hotel if you had family band but if you had a adults only you could more or less go any were in the hotel . I was there with my family and there was this rude German lady told my son to be quiet in the dinning area if she wasn't happy with him making noise she should have sat at adults only she was there herself . She also told this other family off we complaned to the reps but she said she could do anything about it . The hotel is in a bad location you have to get taxi in to town which is about 8 euros one way . We liked to go out walking but you could not do that .

We visited Jandia Princess for the first time in November 2013 . We stayed here for one week and it was fantastic ! Cannot fault this hotel . The food was also the best!! Would definitely return . One tiny down fall - we could have done with bottles water in our hotel room every day not every other day :) ignore the below average reviews , those people must have serious issues !
