Beautiful hotel, well maintained, thoroughly clean, rooms cleaned every day, along with clean towels, air con was fantastic, when it broke one night they came and fixed as soon as it was reported at 1AM, mattress was a bit hard though.
Fantastic food, wide selection every meal, we never struggled to find something to eat even with a vey fussy 4 year old.
Brilliant pools, absolutely huge beautiful big pool, kids pool good size both very clean.
Private Beach, subway under the road from the hotel to the beach, even a bar down on the beach.

Just come back from a week at the Porto bello beach, perfect location with beach bar, free sunbeds on beach, great beach, swim up pool bar- (if only one critisism that is the pool bar can be a little slow on serving as there was usually only one serving, so in my opinion should make the soft drinks machine a 'self serve' I have suggested this to the hotel. That aside everything else superb, extremely clean rooms and surroundings. All staff really happy and friendly. Will be returning next year. although we booked with Thomas Cook this year and I believe they are not going into this hotel next year, so will be booking with first choice. The hotel next door the 'Porto bello royal' next door is no where near as nice as the Porto Bello Beach, in my opinion.

Stayed here for a girls holiday for a week tail end of July to the 6th Aug,what can I say?
a warm and friendly welcome when we arrived,a clean and tidy room, air con which was very much welcomed as it was hot.
The pool was very clean, the beach well maintained, clean and clear sea, great activities as we did the parasailing and went on the crazy UFO (both great fun) the entertainers did well to keep both adults and children having fun.
Food was lovely, bar selection was great (especially the cocktails) the only slightly negative comment I have is the amphitheatre at the royal next door had a rather unpleasant stench of sewers, but other than that the entertainment there was great.
Overall mine and my friends stay was very enjoyable and would defiantly recommend and come back again.

Just returned from a week here. On arrival the reception staff were incredibly friendly. 25 Euros for the week for the hire of the safe. Sandwiches fruit and drinks were in the fridge. The rooms are immaculately clean, with really effective air-con (thank goodness!). We had a king size bed that we requested in the UK, and it was quite hard, but there were plenty of pillows. Food was really very good, amazing salads etc. I think everyone could find something that they would like. Desserts were a little repetitive, but still a good selection. Self service wine, beer, soft drinks and water (you can fill up your water bottle from your arrival pack left in the room fridge). The dining room staff were quite miserable, but then it's no wonder when you see the waste that some people create, especially with Greece in economic crisis. There were little birds flying about in there a lot of the time, which didn't bother me, but I did wonder if they left the bread out all day ..... :) You can have coffee and tea making facilities in your room for 5 Euros. The beach bar is really lovely, as is the beach. The sea is really clean and warm and ideal for kids as you can walk out for ages. The pool is salt-water, and is also warm. Over the week though beds were being reserved by the pool while they would spend the day at the beach, but you can just go to the towel guy next to the shop and have them removed. There was never a shortage of beds on the beach and they were lovely and comfortable. We hired a car for 2 days from the UK which cost £100 but it was more expensive over there - do remember though, that the road signs are mostly in Greek. Visited Kos town, which was definitely worth a visit and Kefalos, Pyli, and Zia. Did attempt Thermes, but the road was awful and the beach subject to falling rocks. There is a free bus runs from the hotel that runs to Kardamena, and to get a taxi back is only 9 Euros. Entertainment was the only down side. There was entertainment at the amphitheatre shared with the Portobello Beach Royale but it was definitely for kids. Only one night at the hotel did they have Greek dancers, and it was really enjoyable, just wish there was more adult entertainment like that. You can use the amenities at the hotel next door, but have to pay for any drinks or food there. There is a spa at that hotel and when you arrive you are given a 30% discount of any treatment. Facials cost 60 Euros, so quite a handy saving. On the whole we had a fabulous relaxing holiday, and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms are double storey, so if noise bothers you ask for an upstairs room. Having said that if you h...

Myself & my boyfriend went to The Porto Bello Beach Hotel for a week on 14th July. It was a fantastic hotel & the staff were really friendly. The pool area was really good & very clean. Always plenty of sunbeds & the swim up pool bar was great. The rooms, reception area & restaurants were all extremely clean. The maid came in to clean the room everyday. The food in the buffet restaurant was really good & always a great choice. They had themed evenings (Greek, Italian, Gala etc). You could also eat in the other resaturants which were also very nice. We never ate in the Fish restaurant as my boyfriend & do not eat sea food but the Italian & Greek Taverna restaurants were lovely. The beach was beautiful but we never spent a lot of time there as we preferred the pool. We ventured into Kardamena 1 night during our stay & had a lovely meal at the 'Captains' restaurant which was very enjoyable & then took a walk around the town afterwards. Kardamena is a lovely fishing village by day but comes alive at night if you wanted something a bit more lively but the hotel was in a great location that you could either get the 10 min bus/taxi journey into Kardamena or enjoy a quiet one at the lovely Porto Bello Beach Hotel. We would recommend this hotel & would also return ourselves.

This hotel has very happy staff who smile laugh and remember you! It is clean and well maintained. Mainly Italians in the hotel and the minority British. the food is good with a large choice. Fantastic views from the veranda and from the beach. The beach was really suitable for families as the sea gently shelved and was not very deep!

Room Tip: We had a pool view, however the sea views were fantastic if you want to pay a little extra!
