This hotel is a beautiful oasis. It just gets better. The rooms are spotless with balconies that overlook courtyards full of bougainvillea. Special mention to Nassos on reception at all hours. He is so helpful. Our friends wanted to change rooms next day and he arranged this immediately. Then we saw that their favourite room was being cleaned the next evening so they hopefully asked if they could go there and Nassos arranged that! Amazing service. Our toilet seat had a tiny crack in it and that was replaced immediately. Clean fresh towels and constant hot water. Comfy beds and bed linen that smelt so lovely. Friendly bar staff. We love this hotel and will keep returning. We love special and unusual and this place delivers. Again, thank you Nassos, you are great

We stayed here in August for 2 weeks having stayed last year for 10 days. It was just as good this year as last. Still the same great atmosphere in the bar and around the pool. We had a different room which was just as spacious and comfortable as the last. The flowers in the court yard still give off a lovely smell and are very well cared for.
Nat and Nela are a great team working tirelessly to make sure everyone is catered for. Eddie was a new addition dealing with breakfast, she was lovely and friendly altho we didn’t always see her with our lazy mornings.
The BBQ night was fab with live music and great food.
I highly recommend the Zeus Superior boat trip that I took if you want to spend a whole day sailing around the island.
The hotel gave us details of a reliable taxi company who met us from our delayed flight and took us back to the airport at the end of our stay.
We love it so much we have booked another 2 weeks for next year.
The manager Nas was very helpful and even “let” our 10 year old beat him at pool.
I can’t recommend this place enough, so relaxing and friendly. Just amazing x

Just had our last night at Nissia and can’t praise it high enough. Spotless spacious rooms with a modern shower in a lovely court yard. Breakfast is one of the nicest we have had. But the best thing is the family atmosphere, we have been welcomed by returning guests all week into conversations and a few drinks. Ornela and Nat run the bar with fun, professionalism and love. A credit to this little hotel. Can’t wait to come back x

My boyfriend and I had the best holiday ever here at Nissia Kamares. I genuinely cannot recommend this hotel enough. The moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The rooms were absolutely spotless, with authentic and traditional Greek decor. The free safe and air con were bonuses. Also, the free wifi worked brilliantly around the pool and in our room.

Our rooms were cleaned everyday by the wonderful maids, with fresh towels everyday. We didn't use the kitchenette area (as we wanted to try all the local restaurants) however it was fine if you wanted to cook and stay in.

The pool area was lovely, always with plenty of sunbeds free. It was quiet and always spotless. We often sat at the bar to have cocktails after going out for tea at night, absolutely amazing mojitos! We also had breakfast by the pool side most days purely because it was so cheap and such good food! A special mention to Natalie and Nella too who were absolutely wonderful throughout our whole stay, they are so friendly and an absolute credit to the hotel. Natalie told us lots of tips about where to go and what to see which was helpful.

Ofcourse one of the main positives about this hotel is the location. It is around a 2 minute walk to the restaurants, harbour and shops. Our favourite restaurants were Alvi and Pelagos and we enjoyed The Garden and Starlight Beach Bar for cocktails. There are so many things to do too in and around Kardamena. We hired a quad and travelled the whole perimeter of the island and did a Zeus boat trip. We also visited Kos Town, Plaka, Bubble Beach and rode a jet ski! Next time we come we plan on watching the sunset at Zia and going to one of the waterparks.

Initially we were worried about the hotel being too loud, with some of the much older reviews highlighting the hotel was full of young people staying in the area to party (even though we are only 21 and 25 ourselves we didn't want anything too loud). I can genuinely say that this couldn't be further away from the truth. The hotel was absolutely silent at night and we always had a good nights sleep. Also, from talking to a few of the regulars at the hotel, it seems as if Kardamena has moved away from being a clubbing/party destination and is now more suitable for old and young couples/ families.

Also, don't pay the extortionate transfer fees, and get a taxi instead. If we chose a transfer within our holiday package it would've been £17.50 per person and we would've spent hours on it waiting for everyone to arrive and then dropping people off. So we came straight out of the airport, jumped in one of the taxis outside the airport, and it took no more than 5 minutes. The taxi was €15 - it's a no brainer!

It is clear to see by the many people coming back time and time again to Nissia Kamares how amazing it really is. I think every other group of people that we met at the hotel had been at least once before, which speaks for itself.
Thank you to all the staff at Nissia Kamares for the most beautiful holiday. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We are definitely booking for 2019, but this time for 10 days instead of 7! See you next year!!
