Arrived late but were allocated our room very quickly, went down to get something to eat and was not impressed, salad with fly's everywhere with rubber chhese and ham, soup which tasted like they'd boiled the dish cloth's in, not a good first impression, the food the rest of the week was good but oh so repetative, what there was for lunch would also be for dinner, only very small change's each day, got very boring. The hotel itself was lovely, had a great room with a huge raparound balcony, great view's and a very quiet room, as alway's not enough sunbed's, if you were up early you could see them all going down with their towels but then didn't appear for hours, same on the beach. The beach snackbar was very good, the girls ate so many hotdogs, there was also doughnut's and pizza, twice a day they gave out watermelon which went down well. Trip's were very good, buy one get one free so we did the cruise which was very good but take money as you stop at some amazing place's then we went to paradise beach, beautiful, so impressed we got a taxi back another day. Hotel very clean, staff very pleasant apart from the very rude lady in the shop, all in all a good holiday and the girls aged 11 & 12 had a great time with lot's of freedom so we had lot's of peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Room 265 in the main building is on the top floor at the end so great view's and very quiet

My husband, 12, 14 year olds and myself have just returned from this hotel.
Staff - polite, efficient, hard working
Cleanliness of hotel - excellent
Food - great, super selection
Drinks - all great, red and white wine fine, cocktails super, ice always available.
Fellow holiday makers - various nationalities, families and couples, all minding their own business and having fun.
Holiday reps - great enthusiasm, enough encouragement to join in, but not forcing anyone, fun to hear them singing and dancing by the pool, the Grease show was fun.
Loungers - get up early to lay your towel out - by 8am
Toilets - very clean, be careful when locking doors, they stick!!
Get to this hotel and enjoy your holiday!!!!!!!!

Myself and my 2 boys (10 & 13 ) stayed for a 2 week holiday in June. When we arrived we were promptly allocated our room at reception, very nice room which was totally adequate for a family. We came down for breakfast the following morning for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the massive choice of food on offer, which I can gladly say about every meal time, morning noon & night. It's easy for the food to get 'samey' on an all inclusive holiday but there was something different to eat at every meal time and the restaurant was excellently ran by all the staff, ViVi especially! It's definitely worth the 10 minute wait to sit outside, gorgeous! Sunbeds were never an issue but obviously we went in June not August. Pools were spotless but the only thing I didn't like was the main pool was salt water, which is usual in Greece, but the slide pool was chlorinated so we spent more time there. Only other slight negative was that Kardamaina is too far to walk into at night which is a shame if you want to stretch your legs but there is a good bus service if you do want a change of scenery. We only went out of the complex twice in 2 weeks as there was plenty to do at the hotel. Overall an excellent holiday, and I would definitely go back again :-)

Myself and my husband spent a week here in June, first time to Kos and the Island was lovely, on arrival we had to wait to have a room allocated to us, but were told to go and have some lunch while we waited, we were allocated a large spacious room, but one of the very few that overlooked the hotel car park above the reception (no view) the room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel, June must be the start of the European children's holidays as the hotel was apporx 90% full with families (this is a hotel for families, not couples or young people wanting a bit of peace and quiet) the main buffet restaurant had a good variety of food and displayed to a good standard, but at times resembled a chimps tea party or feeding time at the zoo, with very little respect for other dinners or the staff (however the waiters did a sterling job of keeping on top of things despite many accidents with children carrying hot food and drinks). There were two themed restaurants, Chinese and Greek both excellent and you could go as many times as you liked by booking the day before at the reception, we went several times for a more civilized atmosphere. The beach is shingle and crowded and the pool areas were also very busy, but you did not have to get up to early to get a sunbed, there was an adults only pool, however the signs were ignored by most and it was very busy with children, there was also an adults only bar and the staff did a great job of keeping out the kids at night, they did really good cocktails and served popcorn at night (a nice touch).
There is a bus that takes you into the main town outside the reception which costs 3 Euros and is well worth a trip day or night, but a bit of a nightmare getting a taxi back at night, had to wait 40 minutes
My only complaint would be is that our flights home got changed to 11 o'clock at night (was originally 1 o'clock lunchtime) after booking this holiday and we had to be out of our room at 12 o'clock as the hotel was overbooked, you had to sit around all day until we were picked up at 8 o'clock that evening and there was no air conditioning in the reception or bars areas (no fun when its 35 degrees) there was no courtesy room only the public showers in the toilet areas that you could reserve for up to half an hour.
This hotel is a good four start hotel for families.

We've just returned from a weeks holiday, with our two children aged 6 yrs and 3 yrs. The Norida is great for young families as there is plenty to do. The kids loved the choice of different pools, especially the one with the water slides, which is suitable for all ages. The beach was good too, with the use of pedlos for free, though watch out for the strong breeze in the afternoon!

The food was in the main restaurant was ok but very repetitive, though they did offer plenty of choice. We found the restaurant quite stressful at times as it was very busy and very hot as there seemed to be no air con inside. There was a balcony where you could sit but during busy periods you would wait up to 15 mins for a table! We found going in at 6.30pm a much enjoyable time to eat as there was no waiting at all. The Greek and Chinese restaurant were excellent and would definitely recommend waking up early to book a table, this has to be done at reception before 9am, 24hrs in advance. Also worth mentioning that you can dine at these restaurants for a buffet lunch to avoid the hassle and bustle of the main restaurant, though it is a limited selection but much nicer setting.

Drinks weren't brilliant, small glasses, no ice unless you asked and not much flavour, we stuck to beer and white wine which was fine, just order two drinks at a time!

We had a maisonette room which was ideal, nicely decorated and very clean. Infact the whole hotel was nicely presented and kept very clean at all times, the only downfall was the lack of air con throughout the hotel with only the rooms appearing to have this, perhaps they rely on the afternoon/evening wind!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The kids loved the mini disco and the after show which was put on, at the theatre, by the animation team, who work hard all day entertaining guests both young and old.

All in all, a good hotel for a family holiday, though I question it's 5 star rating, more a 4! I couldn't imagine a two week stay nor could I imagine going back but ideal for a fun, one week holiday with the kids.

Room Tip: The maisonettes are perfect for young families, offering a great space to relax when it gets all too...

Spent a week here with my 2 sons aged 11 & 10 and my sister. Had to spend first night at Summer Palace. which is definatley only a 3 star and worth paying the extra to stay at NOrida. Food excellent in the main restaurant (although very hot as little air con). Greek and Chinese restaurant also very good (you do need to be in queue by 7.45am to book a table for next day). Both pools are salt water. Loads of sunbeds by pool and on the beach. The slides are between the NOrida and Summer palace. We were in a standard room which was massive and even with 2 extra beds in there was plenty of room. Cocktails were a bit disappointing and food got a bit repetative. Always good choice of greek food. Altogether enjoyed the week.
Main tip would be get private transport from airport, although only a 20 min journey took nearly one and a half hours on coach
