Just have come back from Blue Domes and it was great-the room (I emailed hotel before we went and asked if we could have a room next to one of sharing pools and they emailed back saying they would put this down as a request and thats what we got and what a lovely room it was too), the service, the food, the weather everything. I suggest to folk to maybe go out of season if possible as everything was second to none.
We stayed at Voyage Torba in Turkey same time last year which is all inclusive and that was good, but this place was far better.
If I had to grumble about something it would be like other people have put- which is about the entertainment, but the fella on the piano was so bad he was good and he could certainly belt out some tunes!!
Would recommend this to anyone and would happily go again.

We have just returned from a week at this hotel. The room was great, looked out straight onto one of the pools, bed very comfortable two singles put together at our request. The room was cleaned every day, towels changed and mini bar stocked daily, only one disappointment the toiletries as advertised were not replenished as hoped. The staff were very attentive and polite. There was a great choice of food in the main restaurant, although not always very hot. The other restaurants could be booked the day before at a set time, very popular. The numerous pools made the hotel look spectacular but quite difficult to swim in because of the salt water. We had a couple of treatments at the Spa, lovely friendly staff, we were able to use the pool and hammam for free, Disappointed with temperature of the pool water - it was cold!!. Don't forget to ask in the main restaurant for a packed lunch the day you leave. We had one (water, juice, sandwiches, cake and fruit) and we were able to take it on board our flight home!! One suggestion would be to put more information in the room about all the acivities the hotel provide for free, we only found out about them on the last day of our holiday. On the whole we had a brilliant time, would certainly recommend this hotel, not bad considering it has only been open for 6 months.

We stayed a week at this new hotel with our 2 year old daughter, which turned out to be one of the best holidays we have ever had.

From a child point of view, the facilities and entertainment were first class ranging from toddler disco (every night) to a HUGE castle like building with painting, videos etc.....

From an adult point of view: 1st class food from a LARGE range of restaurants, loads of pool side area and luxury surroundings.

The staff were VERY helpful and 'chaufeured' golf like buggies to cart you around.

Altogether, VERY recommended for all parties, any age....

I travelled to Kos with my Partner in September 2010 and we stayed at the Mitsis Blue Domes.

When we arrived we were literally gobsmacked at how big the complex was but also at how breathtaking it was.

I cannot understnad the bad reviews that have been written about this place and for them to say that this is not a 5 star hotel is just ridiculous and incomprehendable.

There are so many swimming pools within the hotel that not once did we struggle to find a sunbed and all sunbeds are padded.

The hotel backs onto the beachfront where there are padded sunbeads laid out (free of charge of course). There is also a drinks hut on the beach as well as providing ice-cream and hot dogs free of charge for all inclusive guests. I believe this is open 10.30am-6.00pm.

There are 4 restaurants on the beachfront: Asian, Mexican, Italian and Greek. You will need to book these a day in advance. I did not particularly like any of these restaurants and thought that the portion sizes were a bit too small for dinner but you can book the Italian and the Greek for lunch-time bookings rather than dinner.

As well as the above restaurants by the poolside there is a Burger restaurant that sells flame grilled delicious burgers with potato wedges or spare ribs (all inclusive), a sushi restaurant which is out of this world (all inclusive), a greek restaurant (all incl) and a pancake house which has ice-cream, pancackes and fresh cakes (all incl). These are open in the afternoon for lunch and the evening for dinner apart from the pancake house which is open until 3am.

There is also the main hotel restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which will spoil you for choice particularly at breakfast, you have a choice of absolutely anything and everything!

During the day there are lots of activities to take part in such as bowls, darts, dancing, aqua aerobics, vollyball and so on. There is also a kids club which lookes excellent but I can't comment too much as I don't have children!

You can also rent out pedelos on the beach for 30 mins, free of charge (they do ask for a 20 euro deposit but you get it back).

Upon arrival you can also opt to pay 20 euros per person in order to get fresh towels for the beach/pool. Every day between 10.00am and 12.00 you can get a fresh towel in exchange for your dirty one and again in the aftenoon at around 4.00pm you can do the same, you just keep your receipt and hand it in when you check out and you will get your money back....so no need to pack towels!

The only thing I would say is that the evening entertainment if you are a couple is not fantastic! It consists of a man pretending to play the keyboard and singing (not very well) cover songs! There is a theatre by the front of the hotel which provides some light entertainment but it's not brilliant.

If you are all inclusive you will have your fridge stocked up daily, free of charge with soft drinks, water and beer.

We stayed in a family bungalow and the rooms were amazing and always kept clean.

You could take a bus ride into Kardamena town but I wouldn't recommend it as it is not great.

I would definitley recommend a day trip to Kos though. Kos town is about a 40-45 minute bus ride away from the Blue Domes and it is beautiful with great shops and a gorgeous marina to eat out and look at the views.

When we went the hotel had not long been built therefore there were no lifts that had been installed. I did not particularly mind but in the blistering heat it can be exhausting walking up a steep hill or lots of steps and can be dangerous as the flooring is marble on the stairs. You can however call a buggy from various stations to come and collect you and take you to the main reception for dinner/lunch.

The hotel is a ten minute cab journey from the airport and costs 20 euros therefore we did not need to book transfers with our holiday booking however if there are more than two of you then you may want to book transfers due to luggage etc.

We would definitley go back to this hotel and recommend it to our friends and family!

This new hotel is very well appointed and the staff, many of whom are Eastern European, as are many of the guests, were friendly, courteous and gave very good service throughout our stay, nothing seemed too much trouble.

Whilst it would not be considered five star by British hotel standards, as far as continental holiday hotels are rated it is certainly one of the very best in which we have stayed. The main restaurant provided a wide range of food, buffet style at every meal, and the wide range of themed restaurants available at lunch and dinner provided very good alternatives for a change of eating eating style including Sushi, Italian, Greek, Asian, Mexican, German, Bar B Q grill, crepes, etc.

There were no problems finding beds by the pools or the beach, towels provided, if anything there were probably far more pools than needed, but this seems to be a feature of the hotel. Lots of steps from the beach to the main hotel dining room and reception area, not suitable for anyone with walking problems, but they seemed easier as the week went on. There was always a breeze, a bit too strong at times, but very pleasant temperatures. The beach is shingle which bearing in mind the breeze is probably an advantage. Not a lot to see on the island, Kos town is very historic and many archaeological sites to see there but not a lot else.

All in all a very enjoyable holiday.

Clean and beautiful resort, but some places weren't easily approached by people with wheelchair or strollers because there wasn't any lift between reception and floor -1 (lounge bar) and there were only stairs linking some places on different levels between swimming pools. Beach service wasn't really ok. We tried one time the Greek restaurant with big dissappointment so we decided not to give a chance to the three other beach restaurants (Italian, Mexican and Asiatic). Our overall impression is good, but there're some improvement to do to deserve a five star class.

All the reviews are pretty much spot on. The hotel is fantastic, rooms are modern and clean, facilities are good and all in all we had a lovely holiday. There are some areas that the hotel can improve upon, but if you get a good deal then its a good value place.

ROOMS: we had a family room (574) which was in a quiet area of the resort. Room was large and clean and my daughter had a smaller room separated by a sliding door. Lots of storage space and beautiful bathroom. 2 balconies and view of the sea- really nice.

FOOD & DRINK: Food was fine- main restaurant was a bit 'canteeny' but isn't that was happens with buffets? A la cartes were nice especially the Mexican and Burger In. Staff in the restaurants were really lovely. Drinks were fine and easily available- one negative is that bottled water was only available from the mini bar in your room so you only had 2 small bottles a day (which didnt taste nice)- water everywhere else was just tap water.

KIDS CLUB: Fantastic facility- really friendly and my daughter loved the carousel that was lit up and operated at night. Kids pool not heated though :(

SWIMMING POOLS: Wow what can i say, they all looked stunning and there were enough of them! One thing I would say is that none of them are heated and they were fairly cold. The sea was warmer

BEACH: Lovely beach- shingle not sand but didn't bother us- plenty of sunbeds.

WEATHER: First few days of October were lovely and warm- around 25 degrees, but it was really windy. It cooled down towards the end of the week and because the winds were so strong, it was not really sunbathing weather

OVERALL POSITIVES: Clean, good choice of food, contemporary decor, stylish, stunning views from main restaurant, good value.

OVERALL NEGATIVES: Pools not heated, nothing in immediate location, few areas not finished or attention to detail missing.

If you are looking for a good family resort then this is for you. If you after 5* luxury with good attention to detail then its not for you.
