“absolutely Fabulous”

We are a family of four who have stayed at the garden village 5 times now. In our opinion the garden village is a really special place for us. The accommodation is indeed the best we have stayed in, in Greece. The gardens are so beautiful and extremely well tended, in fact, the whole complex is extremely well tended. The owners, Carol and Nikos and their lovely children Daniel and Victoria live on the premises and are hardworking and extremely caring in nature. Nothing has been too much trouble for them and they look after all their clients, the likes of which I have never seen before. Carol goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and at home and she has made our holiday special every time we have been there. We have made many freinds at the Garden Village and they all return year after year. It is that special!! The cleaners are wonderful, Victor cleans the pool every morning and Emma who was there the last two years - fantastic. My husband has spent every Birthday for the last 5 years at the Garden Village and Carol and the guys have made that day so special for him. Kalamaki has lots of beautiful restaurants - Michaelo's our favourate, traditionally Greek, but there are many really nice restaurants. The Zakynthan people are lovely, warm and friendly. The ladies at the supermarket Sophia's - really lovely people!!

The Island is so lovely with many contrasting villages, something for everyone. I would just like to add that one of my son's just spent time in Zakynthos with his friends at another resort and Carol sent to me her mobile number just in case he may need her. Not many people would do that if you weren't staying with them!

The accommodation is really clean, many little finishing touches, little flowers from the garden in your room. Linen changed frequently, sunbeds cleaned and well tended. No plastic chairs, marble topped tables on your balcony with wrought iron chairs, really lovely.

Wonderful accommodation, warm and friendly family - loved every moment, every time. WISH WE WERE THERE RIGHT NOW!!!

We've just come back from our 5th holiday at Garden Village in Kalamaki, and are just about to book a studio cottage there for next year. I thoroughly recommend this charming place, being tucked away off the road, and yet close to the beautiful Crystal Beach and plenty of shops and tavernas. What makes Garden Village stand out from the rest is the way we are looked after by the smiling staff and, Carol, who lives on site. Carol remembers the name of everyone who stays at Garden Village, and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is enjoying their holiday. Nothing is too much trouble, and Carol is always friendly and approachable. The gardens are beautifully tended, and ittle touches like fresh flowers in your room on arrival make all the difference.

Garden Village is ideal for couples and families, with a pretty cottage-like feel, a spotless pool, and a welcoming and warm atmosphere. During our stay at Garden Village we feel we become like members of the family.

Kalamaki itself is small and fairly quiet, with a good range and variety of tavernas, bars and shops. Yet if you want bustling bars and restaurants they can be found just a little way up the road.

I love staying at Garden Village, and can't wait until I'm back there next year.

We stayed in 2001and had a wicked time. Returning 6 years later, with our 3yo son, nervous not knowing how much it had been developed ect.....need not have worried it was just as we remembered it but BETTER! Carol is there in person to greet you and bid you farewell. This small complex is set out beautifully with the quiet garden area and wonderful pool/bar area. It is so personally run and spotlessly clean, with flowers on your pillow when you arrive! Carol and all the staff are just out of this world. They are there for you 24/7...literally! Carol went the extra mile and back again for us..she is truly a wonderful lady. We will be returning!
