Jut arrived home from Garden village, The apartment complex is as good as the reviews, all the staff go the extra mile to make the stay so enjoyable, Greek night was a great night, everyone was having fun, and the food was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone looking for a chill out stay, plenty of eating out places nearby, Heavens kitchen and Zepos the best.

Stayed here 14 years and a it is still as good now as it was then. The studios are like little semi detached bungalows, they have everything you need. On arriving this time we found Carol has had the bathrooms updated, there is now a large shower area with an extremely good shower (my husband said the best shower he has come across in Greece, and we have travelled to quite a few Greek destinations). The kitchen has everything you need - a full size fridge, toaster, electric kettle, microwave and a 2 ring ceramic hob.You can hire a safe for 15 euro a week and the air con is free. Carol organizes a weekly BBQ night, a Steak and Prawn night and a quiz night which is fun. The poolside bar is a real bonus if you don't want to go out, it it open from 9 - 5 for food and drinks until midnight. The whole place is kept immaculate by Victor and the maids do an excellent job. The apartments are down a side road off the main Kalamaki Road so therefore it is quiet. We stayed in studio 7 which overlooks a rough field where a local tethers her 2 goats (these goats are probably the best fed goats in Zante as most of the people staying at GV will come back from the local supermarket with either carrots or cucumbers for them.
As for the remarks from Gillian785 she obviously doesn't travel v ery often as she appears not to know the difference between a mossie and a flea. If she is stupid enough to sleep with the windows open mossies will come into the room and bite - tha'ts why there is air con for people to use, AIR CON WAS FREE - USE IT! As for her remarks about lack of kitchen equipment, what does she want? a full size kitchen - once again she obviously hasn't travelled in Greece before (as we have) to have have a 2 ring hob, microwave and toaster makes you realise how good the GV is.
Overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday in clean and pleasant surroundings.

Room Tip: Room 7 is furthest away from the bar and overlooks the field so it's one of the quietest rooms

Arrived home on 1st October 2013 after a really relaxing holiday at Garden Village, Kalamaki. The apartment was really clean and we had a nice view of the pool when sitting on the balcony. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Carol (the owner) was always on hand to help if required. She arranged for a surprise birthday cake for my husband's birthday which was delicious. I forgot to take my hair dryer so she loaned me one. Kalamaki is a quiet place to stay. There are many bars and restaurants to visit and we found Heaven's Kitchen very good for meals. The weather was really hot during our week. All in all we had a lovely time here and would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: For a quiet room and pool view, Room 15 was ideal as it was not too near the Poolside Bar.

Just got back two glorious weeks at GV. Thank you Carol, Justine Corey and Gina for a good fun time. Victor for your cooking skills and the Cleaners for the fantastic job. This place is brilliant . We have travelled to numerous countries and stayed at some fabulous hotels, but I would love to take GV Carol and all the team with us on all our holidays. The accommodation friendly ness and sheer hard work could not be beaten. Steer clear of Zepos, and Heavens ( Hells) Kitchen food rubbish and overpriced. Best restaurant by a mile Georgias (except GV)

Room Tip: Two bed apartments are like flats Brill

This was my first time on the island of Zakynthos and I have just returned home after a lovely week at the Garden Village. I booked a week here with my partner who has never travelled abroad before and now wish I had of booked 2 weeks. I couldn't have found a better place, I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations from the moment we arrived to the day we went home. Carol, Justine and the rest of the team at GV work extremely hard to make your stay as enjoyable and as relaxing as possible. The appartments are nicely set out and equipped and are kept immaculate. The resort is generally very quiet there are plenty of nice greek tavernas and bars near by the GV and your only a ten minute walk from the beach. I would also recommend greek night to anyone who stays here. The food was lovely and the evening was very entertaining with the greek dancers.

Just returned from another 2 weeks @ Garden Village. Carol, Justine, Corey & Gina are always on hand to offer help or information if required. Everybody is so friendly. Everywhere is so clean.
The greek nights & steak nights are not to be missed, Victor does a great job with steak & prawns.
Everybody there makes you feel so welcome & they work their little cotton socks off.
A truly wonderful, relaxing holiday. Can't wait to go back.

My husband & I returned from GV just over 2 weeks ago. This accommodation is kept immaculate at all times, as are the pool area, bar & gardens. Carol & the team work very hard to make sure all the visitors get the most from their holidays. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. The Greek night is not to be missed with plenty of wonderful food in a relaxed atmosphere.
We stayed in a Studio (No 2) which is one of the furthest from the bar & therefore possibly one of the quieter rooms however this is not to suggest that any of the rooms are noisy. The studio's are so quaint and obviously a lot of thought has gone into the design aspects of these apartments & studios.
The accommodation is situated just off the main road through Kalamaki and therefore makes it feel really secluded, but is also very close to 2 supermarkets & several good restaurants. We found Heaven's Kitchen & Contessina very good, but there are so many places to eat that it would take you a month to try them all (if not more).
As for the person who made some very derogatory statements regarding fleas, bed mites etc - please do not take this to heart as you can clearly see so many positive reviews. I can only guess that this individual thought she had booked into the Dorchester or the Ritz (& even if she had it's clear to us that she is one of those people who you just can't please) Yes, you may get bitten by mosquito's, but that is a hazard in a lot of places - and is no reflection on the cleanliness of GV. Finally, we would like to express our thanks to Carol, Justine & the rest of the lovely team for making our holiday memorable.

Room Tip: Studio's 1 to 6 would probably be the quieter
