Wonderful family friendly hotel. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Big clean rooms. Hotel pool with plenty of sun loungers. Short walk to beach. Would highly recommend for family holiday where sun, sand and pool are required.

Room Tip: Family rooms good size and have balcony.

this is our first time at this hotel and wouldnt hesitate to book again the area around the hotel is very peaceful . the rooms are lovely and big we upgraded when we got here to a bigger room wich worked out better money wise as the fridge , air con and safety deposit box was all included with the upgrade price. our room over looked the pool and patio food area the views of the surrounding area are beutifull. my husband took poorly whilst on our hols here and the family was very helpful nikos who runs the reasturant even offered to take my husband to hospital in zante town . this hotel is ideal for couples or young families its only 5 mins from the beach and roughly 10 mins to the strip where you will find other reasturants but to our point of view eat here as the food and prices is good we ate on the strip and got more than we bargained for steve got food poisening free gratis with his meal.

Room Tip: upgrade to a bigger room its more benaficial as the cost of the fridge , air con and saftey box is a...

The staff are so friendly and welcoming, especially Nikos! The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a patio with gorgeous views of the sunset. We felt very secure here. There is an outdoor pool and you can eat breakfast outside, while overlooking the pool. The walk to the main street is not far and we enjoyed taking the short, scenic path to get there. The beach is also very close by. Internet is free in the lobby.

We booked last minute so there were no rooms available for our final night. The hotel found us another place to stay for our last night and even drove us there with our luggage. I would definitely recommend this place and come back for a longer stay! It felt like we were at a resort! Zakynthos is soooo beautiful and Kalamaki is a great place to venture from.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a patio!

Spent two weeks in May at the Sirocco, just love the place, hope to be back next year. We met Sam and his family for the fifth time. We live in the same town but have never met there. Mary, Nikos, and family make us feel welcome from the moment we arrive, a time to remember!

The Hotel Sirocco is so peaceful it's untrue. Kalamaki as a resort seems to have got more and more quiet over the years, but the Sirocco is such an idilic hotel.
The rooms may be basic, the breakfast may be basic, but the hotel is clean, tidy and you have your towels changed every day.

Lounging by the pool on the wooden sunloungers, or sleeping the day away in the hammock, is the great way to chill and relax at the Sirocco.

For a 3* hotel, it really is a great deal. Not many 3*'s have wooden sunloungers, with no chavs and such clean facilities. The outside bar/restaurant area has nice furniture, much better than a regular 3*.

I will be going back to the Sirocco again this year for the 8th time, and will no doubt keep on going back.

Room Tip: If you're on a package, don't pay for a coach drop off, a local taxi from Zante Airport shou...

Firstly I see hat people have given this good reviews and I would have given a good review too, as it is not a bad hotel... but that fact that I was conned out of money, means that I cant do this. My review is on my experience, so please read on as I would hate this to happen to anyone else going to the Sirroco Hotel

We stayed in September 2011 last year, and this was the 5th time in Kalamaki as we love the resort and always hire a car and see the island. Unfortunately for us, this hotel was a huge disapointment. When we booked the hotel we paid for a large double room with air conditioning, however...... when we got there they put us in a dingy small 2 bed twin room... with no light in the bathroom! I went down to query this and we got told that we had to pay 150 eurosto move room, with a big bed, complete with air conditioning and a fridge (something we should have had in the first place as this is what we had oringally booked!!) The lady who was german spoke perfect english, as she gave me this little speech, we ended up paying the 150 euros as the room we were in was awful!

The day when I asked the same woman about meals etc... she couldnt understand yet speak and English..... so her little speech last night was obviously rehearsed.... I was pretty angry!

Anyway... the room they gave me was actually nice, with nice views over the gardens, the bed was rock hard and by the end of the holiday we both had bad backs! I will say though that the hotel is clean and the surrounding grounds around the hotel are lovely, and there is ample parking for those who hire a car. It is not far to walk from the beach or the centre of Kalamaki.

Overall I will be going back to Zante but not to the Sirroco Hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms in the annexe away from the hotel are best.... but you may have to pay extra even if you h...

This is the first time we have stayed at the Sirocco and have already recommended it to family. Great hotel, lovely resort. The staff are so friendly, drinks are reasonably priced and comparable with some of the bars etc. Great cocktails too! The pool area is clean and comfortable, furniture is great. The room was clean and adequate, it was a shame that the fridge is an extra in a B&B board hotel (maybe that's just me being tight!). The room was large enough with a lovely view over the farms and fields to the back. Free internet in the reception was good too, and the exchange rate at the hotel was the same as across the resort.

We have visited Kalamaki a few times now and will be going back again! The resort itself is perfect; quiet and peaceful. The smells and sounds throughout the day and night are sublime. The beach is a 5 minute walk in one direction, and the shops and bars 5 minutes in the other. Lovely restaurants around the area, with Zeppos being one of the best! As you head out towards Laganas the food and atmosphere seems to lose authenticity, and feels much more typically touristy. From driving through, Laganas seems very 18-30's.

Kalamaki is 12 minutes or so from the airport in a taxi (15 euros max) so it is not worth bothering with coach transfers.

Room Tip: I believe there are upgrades available, with larger floor space, better views, large screen TV etc...
