We have just returned from our stay at this fabulous hotel, the food was sublime cooked exactly as you required, the rooms were extremely clean (cleaned every day), the pool was beautifull, the staff (family run) were an absolute joy we were made to feel very welcome and nothing seemed to be to much trouble for them, the bar has a wide variety of cocktails available also beers and spirits, The atmosphere was stupendous, we had great fun every night. This was our second time of visiting this hotel and we are returning in may 2013. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Thank you NIC, SPIRO and ALL the staff you are great

Room Tip: all the rooms are fabulous it wouldn't matter which you had

Hubbys "BIG" Birthday suprise.Thank you to all at the Venus that made it a wonderfull first time in Zante. I can not add much more than what other guests have said about the Venus. The staff work really hard to make sure all the guests have a comfortable stay and cater to all their needs. The reception lady is very polite and asks daily is everything is ok with the stay.Hubby and I love to spend time our times together wine/dine and relaxing, ocassionaly did go over the top with the wine which is replaced by the host restraunt frequently during dinner, then topped off with free shots followed by our fav drambuie ...or two. No early rise for us.Only made breakfast in dine room twice. Plenty of choice, no problem for the lady doing breakfast when asked for alternative choice which was freshly made. Hubbs and I chose to eat later using the terrace bar, no disapointments with choice or food served by the very plesant staff.Pool area was clean and plenty of loungers, at reception for one euro got towels to use around the pool. We chose to pay extra for the fridge...to keep Hubbs "champagna "cold, and a safe.I really dont think it a problem to pay extra for a safe and aircon, which we were advised we would proablly not need at this time of year, thank you.A little odd when the fridge had a lock on..."Noisy Fridge" Nick ...forgot to tell you that. All requests at this hotel are dealt with a helpfull manner. I did mention a point to Nick on leaving, I thought it unfair not to. Nick was on to the problem immedietly... thank you for responding in a manner that can only improve your ratings, which I realise is very important for buisness and your present econommy. The area around the hotel is amazing, I am a beach lover and it was fantastic. I really will be back to Zante with Hubby. If you havent been to Zante and like peace and quite good food and wine, The Venus Hotel is a great base to explore from. Book direct with the hotel it will be cheeper, May, June, and October is a great time to go. The local have advised Hubbs and me to go when it will not be to hot and wether less chance of rain.

Room Tip: I requested a pool view room, fantastic views and not noisy at all.

When we left the Hotel in June we were not expecting to return until June 2013 but a change of plans for a planned long haul trip left us with a couple of weeks holiday to spare so with a lot of our friends planning to be out there in September we didn't think twice about booking our favourite place.

Our early morning EJ flight was on time but the storm over Zante has us sitting on the tarmac in Athens for a few hours but we were lucky and arrived late afternoon to sunshine and half an hour later we were checking in.

We did nothing more than enjoy two weeks around the pool aside from one rainy morning when we ventured into town. It was good catching up with our friends and meeting new ones along the way. The terrace with a cold drink is the perfect way to relax and lunch from the pool bar served with a smile never failed to please.

The new beds made getting up in the morning a bit of a challenge as it was just so easy to turn over and revel in the comfort!

I have reviewed the Venus many times and it never lets us down so thank you one and all for another brilliant holiday and that special hospitality which is the result of sheer hard work by every member of staff.

Have a peaceful winter and we look forward to seeing you all in 2013.

Room Tip: All the rooms we have stayed in have been good but our personal preference is at the back of the hotel or to the side looking up towards the main road.
