Anagenessis Village Hotel
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We were here in May/June 2013, and it was absolutely fabulous. Close to the airport, so no long drive. But not so close you hear the plane sounds of it.
The place, the location, it's indeed a hidden pearl. It's relatively close to the beach, but it's a quiet place. Relaxing atmosphere.
The owner and his wife are very friendly and so is the rest of the personnel. Besides, the food is excellent. We went away for a couple of times to eat somewhere else, but it was always disappointing to eat somewhere else, because of you remember how great the food is here in Anagenessis. It's all organic and really faboulous!!
We talked to a lot of people when we were there, and a lot of them are there for the 2nd, 3rd, or even tenth time. And we understand why!

Definitely a great place, with very friendly people, excellent food, and a relaxing athmosphere!

Room Tip: Just tell your wishes as you arrive, and they will get you the best room you want.

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet side road in kalamaki. Understated paradise! The hotel could easily be missed at first glance, but upon arrival you are greeted by the owner (Kostas). This man cannot do enough to ensure your holiday is relaxed and tranquil. Everything is pretty much home grown and healthy heart and mind and at the centre of stay. The hotel rooms were clean tidy and functional, cleaned regular and had air conditioning, another bonus is the microwave, sink and fridge. The hotel has 18 rooms but never feels over whelming with bodies. The character and individuality of the hotel made it different from the norm! Kostas and his family along with the 3 other staff always made you feel like part of the family and it was very much home from home.

If you want calm, relaxed and chill time! I recommend a stay1 FIVE STAR

Room Tip: All rooms are well appointed, more like self catering apartments, all are virtually at pool side and...

Stayed here end of season last year and what an idyllic place. Kostas and his family made us feel part of the family, nothing too much trouble for them. The apartments are in a very quiet position, which is what we were looking for, about 20 minutes walk to the beach. Rooms are lovely with a good size balcony and basic kitchen and spotlessly clean. Pool area is beautiful, such a nice place to relax. Found a fantastic restaurant 10 mins away called Essence, one of the nicest we have ever eaten in so highly recommended. Would definitely return here. Thanks Kostas - Tina and Steve

In September 2011 my partner Christine and I stayed for the first time at the Anagenessis Village Hotel, and were made to feel more like family members than guests, by Kostas and his family.
As others have said the grounds are beautifully kept and clean, and the quiet location was just what we wanted.
This year, wanting somewhere special to go to celebrate my 70th birthday, it was my first choice to return to the Anagenessis.
Kostas and his family, and staff Antonis and Stella, again made Chris and I feel part of the family.
Although the menu had been changed to include more of the organic produce from Kostas' garden, Kostas's mother Rebecca, who is a wonderful cook, specially prepared my favourite meal Beef Stifado on my birthday.
Treat yourselves to a wonderful relaxing holiday at the Anagenessis, and like us, you will want to return again and again.

Anagenessis is a family run traditional village hotel. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds which are well kept and very clean. The food is great and freshly prepared with Kostas home grown vegetables. They have a Greek night on Fridays with home made food and traditional Greek dancing which is lots of fun.

It is a 15-20 minute walk to the beach and main strip, which was perfect as it is far enough away from the tourist strip to enjoy the tranquillity of this amazing place or close enough to walk if you fancy a little more nightlife.

I went to Kalamaki last year and visited this pretty hotel as I had booked a pamper day at holistic heaven located at the hotel. Sue and Robbie are wonderful people and the treatments are amazing, you must try at least one treatment during your stay. Even though I wasn't staying at the hotel I loved it so much I visited every day. I couldn't wait to return to Kalamaki and stay at this hotel.

When we arrived last week we immediately felt welcome and made to feel part of Kostas family. The service was first class, we couldn't have asked for a better holiday.

I went with a friend but would also feel comfortable going alone. I highly recommend this hotel and I for sure cannot wait for my next visit.

Thank you to Kostas and his family, his staff Stella and Antonis and Sue and Robbie at Holistic heaven for a wonderful holiday.

Went on holiday with a friend to this Hotel. It was fantastic. The staff were really nice and couldn't do enough for you. They all made you feel welcome. The location was really good too as it was peaceful but you could walk to beach or town. There was alot of guests there that have stayed in Anagenissis Hotel several times, up to 6 or 7 years. Will be going back next year. Fantastic week.

We have been going to Greece for years now and have watched much of Greece slowly become Westernised and lose much of its charm. However in Anagenessis we have found the exception. It is a beautiful place set in lovely well-kept grounds in a quiet location just outside Kalamaki. The apartments are spotlessly clean and roomy and everything works, no dodgy Greek wiring here.

The welcome we recieved from Kostas and his team was quite extraordinary, you are made to feel like more of a house-guest than a paying customer. He really cannot do enough for you and has a wonderfully sunny outlook on life, very refreshing. Lovely pool and bar area, great food, all you need really.

It is around a 20 minute stroll into Kalamaki town or a short taxi ride and this may be seen by some as a disadvantage, but we welcomed the quiet location, so much easier to sleep not having to listen to cheesey Karaoke bars. Supermarket 3 mins away and tavernas on the road into town so perfect for most people.

We are going back in September for 2 weeks, which kind of says it all really.

See you then, Ian and Louise.

Room Tip: You cant go wrong really.
