Was recommended this restaurant by the kind owner and host of the great Friends Bar. After a long day around the pool in the baking heat we headed out for a few hours. And I decided I fancied a steak, arriving at The Vintage restaurant we were swiftly and warmly welcomed and shown to a beautiful table outside. Without any further questions we were offered a drinks menu and our drinks swiftly arrived a mhythos beer, a refreshing lime and soda and a litre of bottled water.
The food menu was vast ranging from local dishes to my chosen weapon for the evening a steak. We decided on starters of fried squid and a local king prawn dish served in tomatoes, at this point i need to point out i have a larger than life appetite and the portion did not disappoint. The squid was indeed a full squid body, tentacles and all and the king prawns exceeded 12, both were delicious and perfectly fresh. For main course we both had steak one T-bone and one ribeye both came with salad local chips and a sauce of your choice we had one pepper and one mushroom, again the steaks were great cooked perfectly medium rare and fresh and tasty. To finish we both had liquor coffee and the entire meal with drinks was less than 70 euro, which for the same back home i would have paid at least half again if not double. Great value all round.
All in all a fantastic night
