Just returned home after a week at Sofia's kalamaki. I have never met such friendly staff, Christina on the bar was great. Sarah on reception was very helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food was good especially the breakfast. Location superb close to all the bars and shops a nice flat walk to the beach. This hotel was suitable for all ages. You go a guest you leave a friend.

We stayed at Sofia's for a week (6 days) and I could not fault the place. The room was very nice, clean and airy - just what you want. The apartments are bathed in flowers which makes the whole area very scenic.
But it's the staff that make this place so special, Sarah, Christina, Appolonia in the kitchen and all the rest - they are genuinely nice people. We ate a few times here - mostly breakfast or a snack - and the food was first class.

Hopefully we will return next year - though two weeks is a much better option.

Thanks again for a lovely time.
Johnny and Annemarie

Myself and my wife have just had two weeks holiday at Sofia's 4th September-18th September for the second year running, and I must say we had a fantastic time./ The place is an oasis in Kalamaki, and is very clean, very hospitable, and a very laid back place to go. Sarah does a fantastic job, front of house along with all the staff there. The food and drink you can buy as snacks is first class. We are going back again next year. Its a pity it wasn't next week. Well recommended.Next year weare taking two of our grandchildren.O for peace.

Yet again these appartments did not dissapoint, we were even lucky enough to have the same room as last year, we cannot fault it, possibly this is why a Trip Advisor certificate hangs proudly in reception, Sarah, receptionist is brilliant nothing is too much bother for her, very friendly atmosphere.
Also please visit Milos restaurant (opposite Venue cocktail bar ) Yanis, Marie & George will make you very welcome, Yanis is an exceptional host, food is very good !. We cannot wait to return next year to both these places.

My husband and I (both early 30s) have just returned from a week at Sofia's staying in a ground floor studio. We traveled with Thompson but after reading other reviews we booked an extra night direct with the hotel before we arrived because we had night flights and would have had to check out at 10am in the morning to fly at 6am the next day - watch Thompson for this!

The studios are fairly basic but are in nice surroundings, look recently decorated, are spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and have eveything you need. I could have happily spent 2 weeks in one. The rooms are classed as self catering and do have a hob, sink and good sized fridge with a freezer compartment. You would struggle to cook a big meal here but it was perfect for us to use for a breakfast on our terrace area and to make lunch to take to the beach.

The grounds are kept in excellent condition. We are beach people but did use the pool on our first afternoon and this was clean and there were plenty of sunbeds. We also had lunch at the pool bar which was tasty and well priced. Our room was cleaned daily and we had fresh towels three times in the week. When we had a leak in our bathroom it was seen to quickly. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. There is a supermarket attached to Sofia's which was really handy for breakfast and beer!

In our opinion the studios are in the ideal part of Kalamaki - close to Crystal Beach (the best one), an easy walk to but not right on top of liveliest bit of the main strip and close to the old Kalamaki road which has some lovely restaurants. Our one gripe was that the pool bar plays music from 9am until late at night and also (like many hotel pool bars in the resort) is a sports bar. We were in block B and could hear it constantly in our room. We didn't mind the music too much and it didn’t stop us sleeping but it would have been nice to have a break from it and when on the football coverage was really loud and intrusive – no chance of a quiet drink on your balcon!! Overall though the good points of Sofia outweighed this and I would stay again but would ask to stay in one of the back blocks away from the pool.

Room Tip: Ask for a back block away from the pool bar
