My wife and I were really keen to go on a boat trip whilst in Zakinthos. John booked us onto a boat trip for the Monday. All was looking good. However, on the Sunday evening, John contacted us to tell us that the boat trip we planned to go on had been cancelled due to bad weather. He offered us another trip instead which he called 'a VIP safari trip'. We decided to go as we wanted to do the Blue Caves and the Shipwreck Beach which were part of this alternative trip. Unfortunately, we were feeling disappointed as we had to pay an additional 10 euro each and all we really wanted to do was get on a boat. However, we understood that John does not control the weather.
Now, I am not a Trip Advisor moaner, but I could have cried when our 'VIP transport' arrived in the morning. It was John in his own car which was stuffed to the brim with other unfortunate customers. It was awful, we were pressed up against each other as John drove erratically around country lanes telling us sporadic facts about the island. We felt really travel sick and also quite 'duped' as we had paid nearly 40 euro each for this bizarre trip.
We asked to leave the trip and be given a full refund as we assumed we would have a coach or a minibus and it was clearly wasn't what was advertised. John did give us a full refund. He is clearly a well-meaning man which is the reason why we've given two stars rather than one but he is misguided for thinking this concept would work. I would not recommend the 'VIP safari trip' to anyone on this earth.

We chose the express cruise in order to see more places in less time. This trip went to the shipwreck beach, blue caves, turtle island and turtle spotting. Everything was very nice and worth it. What a pity it was so short!
Also great and kind people in the agency and on the boat. I really recommend it.

We booked shipwreck beach and blue caves tour with John's company.

Despite some issues with the coach driver that picked other people up from another company instead of us, John was so nice to bring us to the harbor with his own car even though he wasn't his fault.

He knows a lot about the island and he has a lot of experience as well in the field. Really serious person.

The tour was really nice, especially the blue caves and Xigia (Navagio was crazy crowded but that's what you should expect from one of the most famous beaches in the world).

Bus to Banana Beach and small boat trip was given for free (if you buy a tour)!

I will definitely go back to John if I'll be back in Zakhynthos!

Booked for 2 adults to go on turtle spotting cruise...3 hour cruise looking for turtles, visiting the Keri caves and visit to turtle island only 20 euros each ,excellent value for money(including coach transfer from kalamaki) ! Opportunity to swim in the sea at Keri caves and turtle island would advise to take water/food...BUT pontoon boats met the boat at turtle island and the caves, tied up to the boat and you were able to buy everything from ice cream to beer at reasonable prices! On top of this one of the party had a sore foot so couldn't walk to pick up point from hotel in kalamaki (10 min walk) so John, the owner came and picked them up in his own car...Thanks John!!! Would definitely use again as lots of different tours /activities available at excellent prices.
