We returned to Casa de las Flores after a two year absence and were delighted to see that the same high standards that Stan and Jose exhibited on our first visit were still in force. The beautiful, comfortable rooms, the peaceful, abundant garden, the fascinating collection of folk art and homemade desserts each evening contribute to a delightful stay. Stan and Jose are hands on hosts with a wonderful staff, and are available to guests as though it were their first year in business. We stayed 4 nights and spent time exploring mural art and architecure of Guadalajara as well as the unique shops, restaurants, museums and the local color of Tlaquepaque.

Room Tip: All the rooms are unique, filled with folk and contemporary art.

Wow, that's the first impression you get when you walk into the great room, with the great fireplace. The second wow is when you walk into the garden, but wait, there is one more wow- when you walk into your room. Wonderful, tasteful art of all sorts is artistically arranged with love throughout this wonderful B&B. Stan and Jose pay attention to every detail to insure your stay is extraordinary. The breakfasts and deserts are exceptional, not to mention the margaritas! This was the nicest place we stayed during our 3 week stay in Mexico, and the most artistic place we have stayed anywhere. Even the shower was nice! Tlaquepaque is a nice alternative to the city proper, and has a lot to offer in terms of shopping, nice plaza, food, and easy transportation. This place is worth every peso.

We just stayed for our second time at Casa de las Flores and can not wait to return again. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. This B & B is sprinkled with love throughout. Each room is beautiful, the gardens feel secretive and lush, the food is scrumptious and the staff is beyond measure. Every way you turn there is beauty and you feel the Old Mexico of your dreams. When you come through the door your spirit feels an instant tranquility and peace. There is soft music playing, birds are singing and you know you have come home to a special kind of paradise. The other guests we met at Casa de las Flores felt like soul-mates and we had an immediate connection. An aura of kindness prevails throughout this property and we highly recommend you visit as soon as possible.

This was my third visit to Casa de Las Flores. When I travel in Mexico I usually fly into Guadalajara because I love staying here.
The gardens are beautiful - it is wonderful to sit in the coolness and enjoy all the plants and birds. Breakfast is delicious - Stan is a wonderful chef.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautifully decorated.

Stan and Jose run a seven-room B&B, that provides comfortable spacious rooms in an extraordinary garden setting - every corner displays museum-quality locally produced art - and a stand up breakfast that will keep you going well in to the afternoon. This is our third stay, and we are already talking about when we will come back. Stan, Jose and staff are hospitable, attentive, informative and friendly. Book early to ensure accommodations. You will most assuredly not be disappointed!!

This bed and breakfast continues to be our favorite stopping place in Guadalajara. Hosts are courteous and ready with recommendations for things to see and do in the area. Services are thoughtful and guest-focused from the moment you walk in the door.

We consider Casa de las Flores to be a destination B&B. The decor is like no other you will see in the world of B&B's. A description would be to give away a secret you should experience for yourself! Trust us, it has a spectacular collection of period pottery and artwork.

The sleeping rooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed. Beds are comfortable and the showers are great! Best of all is the breakfast, which is always something unusual and artfully presented. A big plus is the evening dessert, which is offered after 8:30 pm for returning diners.

All in all, Casa de las Flores gets an A+ for just about everything. We commend the hosts for a job well-done.

Room Tip: choose a Jr. Suite or above to guarantee a room on the quieter inside of the courtyard.

Bob and Bev M. .. Stan and Jose Luis and staff made the last day of our annual trip to Guadalajara the best stay of our 6 day stay overall. Our regret is that we did not spend all 6 days with them.. Certainly for our trip next year we will plan for a much longer stay!! Our travels to Gaudalajara and then to Tlaquepaque have been absolutely safe and comfortable.. Our return home was made even more enjoyable thanks to Stan's advise for alternate routings and modes.
Our stay was marked by excellent hosting, more then perfect breakfasts , visually exciting gardens and furnishing, comfortable and sound sleeps, informative chats on Pre-Columbian art and history and conveyancing back to our bus station. Our heads are still spinning over this most exciting and enjoyable stay and we will be back and have no hesitation in recommending Casa de las Flores

Room Tip: This is a 5 star plus B and B and therefore no pool or gym.. but you'll have lots o opportunity...
