“Best restaurant in Gandia”

Never disappoints - we've been regulars over the last ten years or so. Specials normally very good - the tuna steak always a good choice - plus many regional favourites. Wine list is good: owner Raul is reliable in picking you a decent bottle at a reasonable price. You can sit outside in the summer, but inside is cosy and atmospheric.

“Good food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2014 via mobile

The moment we entered the restaurant we were made to feel welcome. The service throughout the meal was efficient informative and friendly, when the waiter was told that my wife had a problem eating wheat products he immediately offered glutin free bread rolls which has never happened to us in a restaurant in Spain before. The food was slightly different to most of the restaurants we have visited in the area and was very well cooked and presented and tasted very good. We shall return to this restaurant next time we eat in Gandia.

“Recommended- you should try it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2014

Great food- rice dishes are remarkable, and many of the starters are top quality, with some modern design and great flavor.
It's half way from a modern top notch haute cuisine, and a traditional good quality reataurant. Half way in the spot. You will probably like it!!

“Taste Sensation !!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013 via mobile

On our recent trip to Spain we were lucky enough to be taken to Talero by work colleagues. We were made to feel very special with explanations of what we were about to taste from the owner himself. Memorable experience of a very special night. Make sure you leave room for dessert.

“Can't wait to go back”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

We'd planned to go for our evening meal but changed our mind as we were in the area of the restaurant at lunch time. We were made so welcome by the manager, he looked after us personally through the meal. My husband opted for menu del dia, a great goats cheese salad, lamb chops and a home made ice cream, great value at 15eu. I went for a selection of tapas. My favouite thing was two little wholemeal pancakes, one topped with a baby prawn, super tasty topping and the other a kind of nicoise with tuna - both to die for, I couldn't decide which was best. My second favourite was king prawn in filo with a soy wasabi dip - perfection! We will definitely go back for dinner next time we are in Gandia!
