Got a chance to play Valderrama in August 2012 as a single while on vacation in Spain. Arrived much earlier than expected and was allowed to use the driving range and chipping area for over an hour. When asked if I wanted to play with a member, I declined and decided to play as a single. It was not busy and after the first hole, I actually was able to play a couple of balls on each hole (probably against the club rules). Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. The caddy master was very helpful and told me about the history of the club and the touring pros who play there. The front nine was just awesome to play, especially number 4 with it's signature water fall. The back nine was slow with a foursome ahead of me who were high handicappers, but I did not mind the wait at all, just more time to soak it all in. The cart girl delivered wet towels to wipe away the sweat (very cool perk). Overall, a great course. Yes it is expensive, but if you can make it happen, give it a try because you will always remember your day at Valderrama
