Third visit inside the last year and it has never let us down. Tapas with real finesse, great value and wonderful atmosphere. A real winner. Try it. It is a gem.

My family and i visited last night. We were a party of 8, never easy to sit this number.
Never a moments problem from the wonderful twins that served us.

Superb food, great wines and incredible staff.

My children and their friends really enjoyed the food and ambience.

Thank-you

Living only 10 minutes away and having a nose for great food; it took a recommendation from someone else to find this stunning little gem.

This is gastro tapas at an affordable price with an excellent and affordable drinks selection including craft beers and lovely wines. Chalked up on one of the various blackboards were some innovative variations on the classic gin and tonic.

The salmon tartare was wonderful and the slow cooked lamb divine, as was the duck breast. The home made hummus with prawns was fantastic, next time we will chose this to eat last as its heat is intense and the flavours overcame the next tapa. We had the hotdog for a fun twist on a classic and the lamb burger too; both delicious!

There is so much choice it felt like being Mr Creosote being offered the wafer thin mint and I succumbed and had a gooey and perfect chocolate fondant with yummy vanilla ice cream.

The only slight criticism is that although they were helpful and knew the menu; the waiting staff seemed to often all disapear at once which made it difficult to order one or two tapas at a time. The unwritten rule to always have someone in sight of the clients was not followed, hopefully it was a one off!

8 tapas, 3 drinks each and a pudding for 55€ a stonking Bargain.

We are back there in 2 weeks for my wife Katherines birthday lunch, luckily its not walking distance as otherwise I would carve my name into a chair and eat here on a daily basis. My birthday treat in July is Adria Ferrans Tickets bar in Barcelona which will easily be thrice the price yet will it reach even twice the quality as pura Tapas?

Pura Tapa is a modern lively tapas bar in Torreguadiaro which gets very busy as soon as it opens. The tapas on offer are written in Spanish on boards on the walls and the staff are friendly and helpful, especially if your Spanish isn't brilliant. We had a selection of dishes including fish and meat dishes, salads and desserts - all were excellent. The service can be a little slow because it's so busy but the atmosphere is bustling and lively. Definitely one of the best places in the area for casual dining.
