Quite simply, this is the best tapas bar around. Not your traditional Spanish tapas bar but a mix of Asian and Spanish fusion.

The staff are exceptional, the presentation is wonderful and the experience is simply the best.

Needless to say I am now a regular.

Excellent food, great presentation and by far the best place to eat around Sotogrande. A must eat place.

Ive been coming to the area for 20 years +, I can say this is the most adventurous, and well cooked Tapas I have tasted, worth a trip, service wonderful , portions a tad on the small side, but the flavour more than makes up for this, absolutely fantastic ;0)

Delicious tapas, many times combining spanish with asian cousine. All dishes are very creative - chefs do an excellent job. It is one of a kind. Service is also perfect.

We visit Pura Tapa at least once every week.

First a moan that Trip advisor does not think the 15 restaurants in Torreguadiaro as being worth Torreguadiaro being a separate town - so you have to search if you want to find reviews!

Pura Tapa has been very busy for nearly 2 years so I thought it time to visit. We arrived at the 8.p.m. opening time - which was fortunate as by 8.15 every table was taken and this on a Wednesday night in January! Service was prompt and we were soon quoffing a very passable ribero del duro red The menu - in all about 30 tapas are displayed board. Although it is all in Spanish the staff speak good english and are keen to explain everything. We chose 2 fillers - Russian salad 3€ and Patatas Bravas 2.20€, Magret de Pato 3.90€ and Cordero 4.80€. The lamb had been cooked for 7 hours and melted in the mouth - my wife also thought the duck excellent. We followed this up with the Bakalao 3.70€ and a tartar de Tuna 5.90€ both excellent. Puddings were a Tarta Manzana - Tart Tatin 5.00€ which my wife aid was one of the best and Me mata chocolate 3.50€ ice cream to die for!

With 3 glasses of wine, coffee and a PX ther bill came to 47€ - very reasonable given the Michelin quality of the food and excellent service. No wonder it is so popular. My only gripe would be that the coffee at 2€ was a Sotogrande price -elsewhere in Torreguadiaro coffee is 1.30 -1.50€!

At hole afterwards my wife said she thought that the owners had something special here which could easily be developed into a national chain - all it needs is a wealthy backer!
