“Nice casual bar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

Bar used alot by Brits in the area but very friendly and not your cliched Brits abroad place. Excellent Tapas menu and meals for children. Nice pint of Guiness and local lager is very good.

“Food could be so good but just misses the mark”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

We've been here a couple of times now and the first thing I must remark upon is the service. Woeful, we had to wait ages for menus so I eventually went in and collected them only to be overlooked again and I had to go in to order. All very awkward. Don't expect your wine to be topped up either. Oh, and the glasses were dirty both times and many tables are dirty even when they have been vacated. What they need is more staff, urgently.

There is a great choice on the menu, everything looks delicious. The salads are ok but the fish I had last time was watery and undercooked and the batter not very crispy. However, because tapas was doing well then, we thought we'd give it a go this time.

It looks good and for only €2 or €2.50 seemed like good value. The portions were quite small though. We got 7 between two of us and could have done with more, but we were advised that would be enough.

Very good food:
Prawn wantons
Mushrooms with goat's cheese

Average food:
Calimari
Ham croquettes
Garlic prawns, served with stale bread

Bad food:
Mini burger, tasty although it was one tiny burger, less than 2 inch diameter for €3!!!
Thai red chicken curry, extremely bland indeed - AVOID

There may be other things that are nice but I'm in no rush to go back.

“Lovely!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

Staff were friendly, food was very good and excellent value. We went on a Friday afternoon and they mentioned €1 tapas in the evening with drinks.
If you want Spanish food with an English style pub you won't be disappointed.

“Don't be fooled by the menu”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

I visited this bar on Sunday evening to watch the final day of the Ryder cup, intending to have a few beers. We ordered all 23 Tapas dishes on the menu to feed 6 hungry fellas. We were served 13 dishes of what can only be described as " Iceland frozen food heated up" dishes. When we asked where the other dishes were, we were told the tin opener for the fish had broken and what were we wanting, as we had apparently had double of some courses. We asked them to dish up what we had paid for. Afet some time 6 more dishes came out and to be honest, we could not be bothered to argue any more. The staff had a very poor attitude to match that of the food. The TV sport coverage was good and the bar staff were friendly, but those dealing with the food need a lesson in customer service.Would recommend for happy hour but not ofr food.

“Surprising find amongst mediocrity in the marina”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2012

I had very low expectations about this quasi English pub/sports bar (pool table, footie on TV) and it's now a local favourite. Their take on tapas suits me to the ground (chinese ribs, chicken wings, mini-fajitas) and ALL of heir food is super clean, fresh, just nice! Even the bloody mixed salad was cool crisp and tasty. A definitei favourite for hangover meals--and the BEST hours of anyone anywhere in Andalusia--they're like always open, none of this spanish (non)opening hours. Only complaint: while they have a decent wine list and fair prices on them (good bodegas but generally the robles or crianza rather than the superior choices), they keep their wines far too warm. They'll chill them for you, but they really should get some decent wine storage. Beer however is fresh and tasty.
