We were going to try a variety of dive shops on the island, but after our first dive we were so impressed that we ended up doing 6 dives with Dive Society. We liked the fact that they were going out to Monad Shoal at 5:45am rather than the usual 4:30am. This meant that we avoided the 30 odd boats of divers. We saw two 3.5 meter threshers within 2 meters and they hung around for a long time. We also went to Gato Island but to be honest we're really disappointed with how crowded it was. Especially in the cave in the Tunnel - although we saw the 2 white tip sharks, you had to feel sorry for the poor things as they were mobbed by underwater paparazzi.
The other disappointing thing was the night dive - although we saw a lot (sea horses, cuttlefish, prawns, crabs etc) the hyped mandarin fish mating was witnessed by a crowd of at least 20 divers, all desperate to see some fish porn?!

But in terms of Dive Society themselves they were fab. Very professional and good equipment. Large comfortable boat. Really liked dive master JK. The office staff and other DMs were all super friendly but also professional.
Only thing I would suggest comparing them to our El Nido dives is perhaps the DMs could carry a slate board and write down things seen. Also perhaps the DMs having individual maps of the dive sites would also be a good touch. Also it would be good if the multi dive packages offered a better discount to give you incentive to dive more.

But overall we were extremely happy with our experience with Dive Society

We dive this morning with divesociety in monad shoal site with the tresher shark and we had great time :) all the staff was very nice, helpful and our guide was very relax and professional. The equipment was new and really good and the price was good! And the most important- the nitrox is free! So you can be under the water for long time and see the sharks closely! Amazing dive :) go diving!

I went to the Thresher Sharks dive with Dive Society and had a great time. The staff was very kind, helpful and professional, the gear was brand new and the price was very very good.
Thank you Dive Society for this amazing experience and for helping me watch the sharks in action.
Highly recommended!

I did My open water course here with Lanch and i had a bit rush of time. But she made a schedule for me and she was the best dive master!!!

She teached me everything and I felt very safe under the water.
