I am glad I chose this place to stay in Malapascaua.
Though it is not beach front, but the environment is very homely and serene.
The place is surround by coconut trees. There are even some coconut trees in the compound.
In order to preserve the coconut trees, the owner, Mr Volker made small modifications to the construction of the building to accommodate the trees.
The furniture in the room are made of bamboo which is from Cebu Island.
The room itself has a fridge, ceiling fan, torch light and safety box which is a plus to me. If you need air-con or hot water for shower, there will be additional charge.
Most places in Malapascua only offer a desk electric fan so a ceiling fan which is more powerful will provide you with more comfort.
You can refill your water at P10 per liter. This is more environmental friendly and cheaper than buying new ones.
Hiltey's is also near to Ging Ging's restaurant so you can easily walk there for meals.
Hiltey's is near to the beach, maybe a 5 to 6 mins walk and near to dive shops like TSD.
The room itself is also design in a eco-friendly way.
The shower and toilet is in two different rooms but there is a hole high up near the ceiling on the wall between these room. It is there for a reason.
When you turn on the light in the shower room, the light will shine through the hole and provide some light to the toilet. This will be useful if you do not need too much light in the toilet.
If you still feel that the light is insufficient, there is still a fluorescent light in the toilet. All you need is to plug in for power.
Towels are also provided but housekeeping is not done daily. I have no idea when will it be done since I stayed for only two days.
You have to bring your own toiletries since soap and shampoo is not provided.
Mr Volker is very friendly and since the place is still considered new, all the things inside are all in good condition.
The only downside is that the water pressure from the shower head is very weak but the water pressure from the tap is good.
I will stay there again if I will to visit Malapascua.
