“professional and comfortable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

Doing the open water course at sea explorers was a great experience. Martin, the manager, was super friendly and professional. Dive instructor Tata did a good job with respect to technical teaching and creating the atmosphere of comfort and safety (I´ve never been diving before). Then, diving with sea explorers was a great adventure!!! thx guys!

“Probably the best dive shop in the world.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

This is a dive shop that every diver looks for and dreams about during long dark days at work .

The island is of course stunning and in six dives to Monad Shoal we had thresher s with us for up to half of the dive. We saw them half way down behind us most mornings on the descent , had many many sightings of twos and threes ..it was unbelievable. The rest of the diving is good too , Gato Island has lots and lots of chilled out white tip sharks and other lovely things. There is often a barbeque done on the boat at lunchtime which is really superb.

As for the boat crew and the dive guides , well they were fantastic. They were brilliant with young divers and equally good with some of the many senior divers in at the time. I did the Nitrox course with the previously mentioned Dish and she was fantastic. It is a great place to do courses as the instructors are so good. Nitrox is really helpful to have there as the thresher s are often at 30m so you run out of bottom time fairly quickly otherwise.

The guides and boat crew get all the gear ready, get it on and off the boat and really cannot do enough for their guests. It is hard work but they are amazing .

Be sure to allow at least 7 days on Malapascua , the days fly by there as there is always something happening , people coming and going and before you know it it is happy hour ....again.

“Near to perfection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

We were greeted with a big smile, and was enthusiastically expected as we had made the booking ahead. They were recommended by a friend from Lapu-Lapu Dive Center of Boracay. Martin, (we call him the energetic manager) gave us the briefing about the dive spots and the dive organization. And as promised the thresher sharks was there! We have seen it once, and even twice. There is just one thing that I must say is that the night dive at the lighthouse was not that great; We did not see the hippocampus at all in this dive spot, we did saw the mandarin fish but I notice that the corals around this area were badly damaged, it's a pity. Otherwise, we had a fantastic dive except one, great organization, nice people, and good food at the resort restaurant. I highly recommend this dive resort to divers who wishes to visit Malapascua in the near future. Thank you guys!

We met 2 persons named Martin. Martin, the manager, is super friendly and helpful. If you have any enquiry, talk to him. Martin, the dive guide, took very good care of me.

“Funtastic dive operator!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

We dove more than 30 times with Sea Explorers during our stay at Malapascua. They have a great team, mostly local guides and instructors. Super happy crew.

I did my Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air Course with Ms Dishiely. She is a a very skilled and patient instructor. Takes good care of her students and a takes very good underwater photos too! Would highly recommend her to anyone that is interested in taking courses at Sea Explorer...One of the best dive operator in Malapascua!

During the 5am dive to Monad Shaol, its 99% guaranted that you will see the thresher sharks! The guides are good in bringing divers to remote and secret spots to have a better view of the sharks! We saw breaching mantas too.

Will be back!
