We stayed in this hotel for four nights. It was lovely spacious and clean with a mini fridge, wardrobe table and chairs, lovely bathroom (but no hair dryer). Lovely breakfast served - must try the banana pancake was very yummy! Ate them every morning. Beach is beautiful and if you take any lilos or rings for the sea be prepared for the local kids to join in and play on them - maybe even swim off with them and then bring them back about 2 hours later haha! Absolutely lovely hotel with lovely staff - Would definitely go back!!!

We stayed 4 nights in Malapascua and really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Vida. The accommodation was perfect: big, bright and clean rooms right on the beach. Most of the guests were divers but we were there only to relax, sunbathe and do some snorkeling. The staff is friendly, helpful and not pushy like in other touristic places in the Philippines. The food served at the restaurant was ok but it would be nice to have a real coffee in the morning!

Also another suggestion: better clean the beach in front of the resort so the water remains crystal clear. It would be a pity to spoil this paradise!

We stayed at the Ocean Vida hotel for seven nights in April 2011. We must say this was the best hotel we encountered during our holiday in the Philippines. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff cleans the entire room every day with great care.

The restaurant was also very nice. The food was good and very reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly. The view from the restaurant over the beach and the sea is great.

We booked this hotel as part of an island hopping package with Sea Explorers. The dive center was very well organized and the crew was fantastic. We really enjoyed diving here and we were lucky enough to see the thresher shark on all our early morning dives! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Would you expect to spend over a week in a place on the other side of the world with no any issues while organized two days before departure..? We were lucky, we got the last room in Ocean Vida for our kind of unexpected holidays in Philipines and it was the best we could get. Extremely friendly and comfortable place for stay, even better organized for diving with Sea Explorers.

We visited Ocean Vida for four nights as part of our island hopping package with Sea Explorers. We were very impressed with the newly opened Ocean Vida Resort. The hotel is very nice with spotless rooms right on the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the dive centre is (together with the other Sea Explorer dive centres) top notch. We would definitely recommed this to anyone.

This brand new hotel has great staff, a lovely restaurant overlooking the beach and is attached to Sea Explorers for scuba diving. We were travelling with our 7 month baby and they were brilliant at finding us a babysitter (ask for Mary!) sorting out hot water for the baby bottles and warming the baby food. The rooms are very comfortable and the housekeeping team working hard to keep everything tip top. The owners were very kind to us, especially when the seas became too stormy to transfer back which led us to stay an extra day. They dont yet take credit card so take plenty of cash. If you ever find yourself travelling to Malapascua, take with you second hand children clothes. Half the islands population is children, and life there is pretty basic with kids just owning one set of clothes. If you walked into the village and handed out clothes you no longer needed, it would really help them.

Stayed here for a week in January and was not dissapointed, the accommodation was excellent as you would expect from a new resort, one small thing was the shower could have been better it was either very hot or cold and pressure was a not brilliant but a very minor thing. All the staff went out of their way to be helpfull, the food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, however, if you wanted to try somewhere different there are some very good little Philippine restaurants in the area which served good food for next to nothing.
The Dive Centre was second to none, our guide Vic was excellent, one of the best guides i have ever had, the boat crew were always on hand and willing to help in any way they could. Unfortunately for the 6 days that we were there the Thresher sharks were very shy!!!! however, the diving on Gato Island was amazing and more than made up for the lack of Thresher sharks. Would i go back? Definately
