Slightly off the beaten track but what a find! Excellent surroundings, good food and beautiful room, well suite actually, but mind your head as you would expect low slung beams and doorways. Lovely courtyard to rear through the cobbled entrance.

we drove past and popped in for a coffee. i saw there was a spa on site and on asking a very lovely barperson i was in for a quick eyebrow wax. i cant rate the hotel on a decent coffee, but heads up to the lovely girl behind the bar who was very enthusiastic about the hotel food, and for the beauty therapist who squeezed me in for a much needed brow tidy. her tweezer work was amazing.

Room Tip: if i lived in the area i would return as the welcome was very good, the beauty therapist was good an...

Found this gem through a booking site and very glad we did. Needed a one night stay on the bank holiday weekend (May 5th/6th). We arrived about 19.15 and even though they were very busy we were greeted very warmly and shown to our room straightaway. We had booked to eat in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The whole ambiance of the place is very relaxed and friendly without losing any attention to details. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to enjoy a drink in their courtyard before our meal.
Our room was ideal and even though on the front near the road we did not find this an issue. The Warwickshire breakfast did not disappoint and again all staff were very concerned to make sure we were happy with everything.
Having booked with no idea what the hotel was like I can truthfully say this place ticked all the boxes in every respect.....so much so we have booked a return trip for the next bank hoilday at the end of May. Thanks again to Melissa and all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable!!

On a very cold, snowy night we arrived to a warm welcome and a spacious and warm room. We had a light evening meal in the bar which was very tasty. A very comfortable bed BUT the green light on the ceiling is BRIGHT! If you are light sensitive this is a real problem. Unfortunately we had not brought our flight masks to deal with the problem. Someone was pacing about in the room above us until the early hours.
In the morning I had a massage and eyebrow and eyelash dye, all very good and at a very reasonable price. Do take advantage of the beauty therapy room if you are staying here, Charlotte is excellent. It made it feel like a holiday rather than just an overnight stop to break up a long journey.

Room Tip: Pack flight masks if you are light sensitive!

The staff were friendly and the food was okay, BUT the rooms have one major flaw. There is a round green light in a strip on the ceiling above the beds, which lights up the room at night like a beacon. If you need it to be dark to sleep, then you won't like it as the whole room is bright. We also had to put up with a constant droning sound coming from outside somewhere, so we had an awful sleepless night.

When we mentioned it the following morning, we were told that because the building is listed, they have to have the green lights by law, but why on earth site them right above the beds!
We had planned to stay for two nights, but one was enough. We won't stay again.

Stayed on business, and found an warm welcome in the bar/check in area. Was personally shown to my room, which was a nice touch. Rooms a little quirky, which is great and what you would expect from a building of this age, spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Dinner was taken in the bar, rather than the restaurant itself, which although very appealing was empty, as guests were all taking the more casual bar option. Same food choices available in either location, and the quality was very good.

A nice breakfast freshly cooked to order made a nice change from the buffet style of the larger chains.

I had a gel manicure at the salon in the hotel, they lasted the 3 weeks and Charlotte the beauty therapist was very friendly and professional. My family and I also had lunch which was fantastic, will definately be returning!
