Stopped here for a Coffee Break between Nottingham and Clevedon, it was too early for lunch! Very welcoming, Hot Coffees and comfortable seating area in Bar. Will call again.

We were in the area and I was curious to check out whether the excellent cuisine had changed from our previous trip last August.
Happy to report that the food served here is still of the high quality as before.
The Scallops and Mezze starter was out of this world,so was our shared main Tuna dish. Very tasty indeed.
Pricing maybe a bit over average, definitely the desserts which carry a price tag of £ 5.25!

Have stayed here numerous times when working away from home.
Aways very welcoming, quality food and warm clean rooms. So much better than the bland hotels that Lenny Henry would choose!

The place looked the part and I ordered the kidneys and black pudding followed by the faggots.
The first coarse looked the part and the black pudding was great but when I cut into a kidney blood flowed out. It wasn't rare inside it was raw. When the waitress came across to remove the plate, she wasn't around before then, I showed her the kidneys.
When she returned with the main coarse she informed me that the chef says that is the way they are cooked. I'm afraid that tainted my experience and I didn't enjoy the faggots.

A place to forget.

A very wet Sunday afternoon was spent at the wonderful Halford.A very warm welcome from very attentive staff - wonderful fresh food at a great price . The only advice i can give is don't have breakfast if you plan to have a Halford lunch. If you're in the area you will find not only a great pub, restaurant, hotel and spa . Looking forward to my next visit
