“It's an UNBELIEVABLE & UNIQUE Hotel”

It was my first time to Erbil and i had no idea where i was staying as i was booked through my Company.

I was annoyed when i saw the city and i thought i would end up in a horible hotel :( but when i entered the Loby of Tangram hotel i was shocked !!

It was great i though i'm back to my country.
I loved the designe of all the floors and outlets and room.

I visited their site but i should say the picture are very bad and i think they really need to take some good pics of the hotel coz its much nicer in real.

I had prob with my WI FI and also the service on 12th floor 360* bar was not good, but the Colombian band was great and i wanted them to sing till morning :)

I checked out the prices and its worth spending in this hotel than any other place in Town.

Its a little far from the centre compared to other hotels but that no issue as you have to pay the same fare where ever you are and it took max 20 min for me to get to the fair.

Im not sure what I was expecting actually as it was my first time in Erbil, but this was a high quality hotel, the kind you would expect in any large western city. It's only been open a few months so several taxi drivers didn't know it and it is quite a way from the centre and exhibition halls, but taxis are cheap and plentiful. I found telling them to take me to Nixa Mall, which is right next door did the trick.
The room was well appointed with 3 pin plugs, a bonus for Brits, and the bed was large and comfy, and the shower room was what you would expect, only one bath robe and pair of slippers though. The mini bar wasn't replenished, but I guess I could have called room service so not a problem, except that the previous occupant had left several half consumed bottles of spirit behind, so I had to point that out to them rather than be charged.
We ate in both Greens, their main resto and also the newly opened 360 bar which is on the top floor. There's still a bit of training needed in 360, we arrived at the bar to find that nobody had bothered to clear the empty glasses from previous guests which were just left up and down the length of the bar despite 3 people being behind the counter. It took several minutes to get their attention, but when we did they were very pleasant. The food menu is the same as their other resto, and they seem to have the annoying habit of bringing your starter and main course at the same time, but despite this the food was good. Dishes such as byriani, grilled fish and chicken, burgers etc, so catering for international tastes.
In Greens they had a good buffet laid out for each meal, a fine selection of deserts etc.
All in all the staff were, with the exception of our first arrival in 360, very attentive and helpful.
The only negative comment was that the wifi didn't work in the room as the signal was too weak, a real problem if you need to work from your room.

Room Tip: Don't chose a room too far away from the lift as you won't be able to connect to wifi

I stayed 4 nights in this hotel. It's fairly priced about $220. They offer free wifi but becareful not to stay in one of the rooms at the end of the hallway where the wifi signal is weak. They have a good breakfast and lunch menu. It's a bit far from central Arbil and the exhibitions but taxis are fairly cheap here so I wouldn't think that would be a problem. Overall I would stay in it again

I stayed at Tangram Hotel during my business trip to Erbil around 5 days; it’s a high-end quality tabletop and furniture. Everything what a 4 star hotel can offer especially in Erbil. Rooms are clean especially the beds and its feather duvets. Everybody of the hotel staff members was helpful, well-mannered and tried to help as much as they could. Price for value was worth staying comparing to other hotels in Erbil especially if you have stayed in Erbil hotels before. you almost feel as if you are in Europe. Breakfast was excellent everything that you can wish was available.

Room Tip: Higher Rooms have a better view.

I had business trip for 5days in Erbil, stayed the first two nights in Rotana (which is overpriced as usual), then decided to try the Tangram Hotel and it was pleasant and Excellent experience.. the hotel is new located in the southern part of Erbil City (Kirkuk Road), well designed with modern decoration and furniture, secured, lovely loopy, fast check In, very clean and well furnished room, European style with all what you need, bath was small but clean and modern.. the 3rd Floor Terrace is wonderful with the Shesha, Room service are fast and very helpful, reception team are so friendly. believe me you gonna get what you pay for not like the other 5* hotels there, with Free internet and break fast, the rate was just fine... overall experince was fantastic and i would highly recommend to anyone in business trip to Erbil, Dont Spend your company on the other 5* stars hotel and give it a try in Tangram...

Note: Naza mall (Big market) is next to the hotel, you can get whatever food/drinks you might need... + its almost 12-15 Km away from the airport, so you need to count for at least 30 mins from the hotel to Airport.

Keep it up Tangram Team...

Room Tip: higer floors will have nice view over the city

Stayed here for 3 nights in July and was really happy with the entire experience. Rooms are European quality and very comfortable. Food was tasty too and reasonably priced.

If you've been to Erbil before you'll know just how hard it is to find a quality hotel at a fair price, well the Tangram is it! The Rotana is great but extortionately priced. I stayed at the so called 5 star Van Royal Hotel for the same price as the Tangram and it was terrible in every way.

As it only opened on the 1st March there are still a few issues to be ironed out- not enough international tv channels (no English football), the sauna is still not open, they charged me for drinks from the mini bar i never had, the breakfast is poor (no hot food), soft drinks are far too expensive from the mini bar (i was $16 for 2 cans of Coke & 2 cans of Sprite!).

Well worth a stay overall.

Room Tip: Get a room facing out the front of the hotel as the generators at the back were sometimes quite loud...

Rooms are spacious, comfortable and stylishly furnished, as the whole hotel is, actually.
Restaurant (buffet), Internet and Gym facilities are included in the room fee and are at a good level. Cozy lounge bar with international live music.
The meeting room at the first floor (I was in the 2nd one) is good and well equipped. Coffee break service wase good as well.
20 min from the airport.
The hotel is on a start up stage, so some of the services are still missing (the roof restaurant) or under-operated (the sauna), but for this reason prices are still relatively low.
Welcoming and recommended
