Decided to choose here for Horseback Riding as they offered a 1.5 hour ride at the end of the day (4p) and am very glad we did. Went with my wife and 16 yo son and we had a great time. It is very inexpensive ($27/ea) and the ride was great - went through a river (twice) saw a bald eagle, roaming cattle, etc. It is very dusty so be prepared to get a little dirty and breath some desert dust but a great time and a great value! Would highly recommend!

We went on Friday so we could combine Friday Night Franks with the 90 minute long trail ride. All was good except the chance to take a group photo which we were able to get but it was not a featured part of the trail ride like we found at Saguaro Lake Trail Rides a few years ago. Not a big de traction but would have been nice to have our guide commit to shooting us out on the trail Just my two cents on that issue.

My husband and I went on a trail ride at Fort McDowell Adventures. We had a Groupon and it seemed like a great deal and it was. When we arrived the horses were already saddled and ready to go. Bottled water was available to take on the ride. Our wrangler, Cowboy Jimmy, took us on a fabulous trail. We saw many beautiful plants and flowers, rode along the Verde River and much to my surprise went into the actual river three different times. I thought I was in a Western movie! It was very cool. Along the way we saw a group of wild horses, frogs and an eagles nest where Jimmy told us the mother has been sitting on her eggs since December. The nest was huge and fairly close to the trail.
There were only 5 riders and Jimmy on the trail ride which allowed for a better ride. The scenery was beautiful and the Red Mountain, Four Peaks and the fountain at Fountain Hills visible.
I highly recommend this company for a great ride. Even the restroom was clean and cute.

From the free wagon rides Nd seeing the light s of Fountain Hills and the cooking of your hot dogs r brats over the fire and the live music ( not to mention the adult beverages) this place is great for a family outing! play bags, sir by the fire, or have the kids expend all that energy. its worth the trip!

We had a blast on this 1.5 hour horseback ride!!! Owner and son were fabulous tour guides and showed concern for our safety. We were offered free waters to take with us on the trail. Our girls ages 10 and 13 enjoyed every minute as well - they are beginner riders. Their friends had a great time too. Beautiful scenery and sweet horses. Crossed the river two times which was fun. Saw the Bald Eagle nest and a wild horse. Loved how their dog Marley followed us on the trail ride and kept us entertained. We would definately do it over again!! We have also done the hay rides here and had a great experience with those as well. Thank you SO much Fort McDowell!!
