In general, I liked the hotel. It is a nice place to stay during one`s winter vacations.
When I arrived general manager Mr. Paolo Peiretti met me at the reception, a very helpful man, always at your service felt he expect me to arrive on time- my room was ready and I got my key immediately.
Avisio Hotel is located next to a post office and a souvenir shop. A bus stop and a grocery store is 5 minutes from the hotel. It is large, much bigger then I expected. There was a restaurant in the first floor. It should be mentioned, that there were two halls to eat- the first was a hall for guests to have breakfast and dinner, and the second one was a small trattoria with takeaway pizza.
There was a varied fresh breakfast with fantastic pastry. Another advantage of the hotel was a snack buffet in afternoon. The proper thing one need after a long day in the mountains.
In the ground floor there was a wellness zone- small swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and a small gym corner. The zone was not overcrowded and always clean.
My single room located at the second floor. It was nice, warm and cozy. But some pieces of furniture definetely needed renovation.
Unfortunately, there were several things which spoiled pleasant impression. I did not meet that cordiality I expected from the hotel stuff. Nevertheless, I should give credit to them, as they perform their duties well. Some facilities, such as swimming cap in the wellness zone, were not free of charge, the cost was not announced. Small sum, but I was surprised to see it in the final bill.

Room tip: Second floor rooms with balcony has a street view though it was silent there

Very friendly staff with much initiative. They are planning major renovation. Old fashioned space rooms with terasse. In summer quite noisy because of traffic nd need to have open door/window. Great recreation area in basement with pool, sauna etc. Pizzeria in house. Kids lived the place.

Although the transport by the hotel busses to the ski pistes should have been included, at the last moment the owner cancelled it. After big discussions with his own people in front of the guests, we were transported in the end but lost an hour skying.
As the hotel is not nearby the pistes, without transport of the hotel is might take long as you have to change ski busses. There are ski busses but not frequently.
The women working there to organize things are very kind.
The food was okay, they give little portions, but you can ask for more (you just have to know this!)
The rooms were poor, old carpet and we had to ask several times for a new lamp. The heating didn't work the last day. In the bathroom the shower sustain was broken and wasn't repaired as this floor would be renewed in the future...

Room tip: Ask for the already renewed rooms, the old ones are too poor, as things don't work anymore and won't be repaired. Make very good agreements with the owner for the transport, as he promises things and then doesn't maintain it.

Hotel Avisio is the great place to stay if you travel together with family and friends. Location has good access to different skiing areas as well as to towns like Moena and Predazzo. Hotel's staff is friendly and helpful. Half-board food is great. We liked our stay in the hotel. Swimming pool would be great. Although swimming pool was available free of charge in another hotel we did not used that option. Hotel has good access to ski rent (just across the street) that offer discount for hotel guests.
