We called in McGrory's whilst out for a drive - what a great find! The menu was varied offering mussels, chowder, soup, burgers and chips to name but a few. The steak burger was good, but the chowder was fantastic - very filling and served with wheaten bread. We did find ourselves looking longingly at the massive plate of mussels being consumed at the next table! Food was value for money and the service was good.

Went here one Saturday afternoon. Was thinking about a bite to eat until I seen the prices. This is Culdaff not Dublin. Its a lovely looking pub but when the bar staff are standing around behind the bar looking miserable bored and theirs arms the same length as themselves and itching to fill your pint glass for something to do. Sorry but this does put you of. And when you enquire how things are going you do expect some conversation not some silly we girl looking at her bar mate and whispering and giggling like a shy 8 year old child as though I have horns on my head. Not the typical irish bar I have grown up with. SORT THEM KIDS OUT. Learn them the basic principles and values of life and you may find more folks attending the bar. Pity because its a very pretty pub. May give it another go to see if things have improved.

We stayed in Culdaff, so were able to walk to McGrory's. We found a write up in the rough guide to Ireland. It surpassed all expectations. Superb sea food and the only place we found such delicious oysters. Good service and we left very satisfied customers.

I have been to McGrory's several times now and each time has been excellent. Weather for lunch or for an early dinner or late night attending a concert in the backroom or the great, high-quality suisuin on Friday nights, McGrory's always delivers and never disappoints. Neil and Rosin could not be nicer owners and accommodators. The quality of the food is excellent, especially the daily fish selections, and the atmosphere is superb both as a quiet spot during the day or a hopping spot during the weekend. Highly recommended for food and music and certainly worth the short journey to Culdaff.
