We got back from Residence Ca del Lago 2 weeks ago and I wouldn't hesitate to go again. The hotel was perfect for a weeks holiday and a good base to travel round the lake. The room was lovely, good size bathroom and a perfect little kitchenette so you can make breakfast or lunch and keep your wine cold for drinking whilst you watch the sun set on the lake.

The staff were friendly and very helpful and made our stay even better. They helped us with taxis and to organise trips and speed boat hire.

The hotel looked by far the nicest one we saw in Torri, lovely pool and great views as you are set back from the town slightly up a small hill. Would recommend to everyone.

Well we booked about a year in advance, got a great deal on a front facing ground floor apartment in the complex.

One word... Fantastic!

Service was spot on, the underground car park was a godsend, allowing the car to stay cool before days out, and also to save you the hassle of worrying about parking.

Pool area was lovely, the waiters brought us out some complimentary cocktails and fruit when we first went up there, and every day after.

Bar service is excellent as was the food.

Staff brilliant, location and views are outstanding.

Because you are not near the road either side of the complex, you don't get road noise either (in the Italian summer, scooters/motorbikes go all day and night up the roads).

Town is literally just at the bottom of the road, a quick walk around the Castle wall and you are in Torri Del Benaco itself, with lovely restaurants, Torri generally being a non-tourist area, unlike Riva / Garda etc.

The car ferry and passenger ferries stop in town, and these are a fantastic way to get around the lake, just don't miss the last ferry otherwise its a long drive back around the lake!!

I had one gripe, and that was if you walk up onto the upper decking above the pool area, please do not do this bare footed, you will get splinters from the deck boards.

Room Tip: If you can request a front facing room, its worth it, see the photograph.

Torri is a great village and so quaint. The hotel is tuck into the hillside so the balcony rooms facing the lake have spectacular views. Our room was large with vaulted beamed ceilings. The room had ample space for king Ned, dining room table and chairs, sofa and a long console table one could use for storage as well as an armoire and nightstands. The kitchenette was also generous in size. Many windows in the rooms including the bath so lots of natural light.

The balcony facing Garda was Huge! Room for two lounge chairs and a table and chairs as well as potted plants!

The pool area was gorgeous with plenty of loungers and trees around.

The service was great. The staff made special efforts to locate a feather pillow for me. The beds were hard so I slept on a doubled up duvet. Most of the beds in Europe are firm.

The hotel is a 5 min walk to the lakefront with gorgeous restaurants and quaint shops.

I am late in posting this review. We traveled in May 2011 not August but I could not select May.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view of the lake and balcony

Stayed here with my wife. The place is beautiful, very well kept and clean. The room are spacious and have everything you need. It's a a 5 minute walk to the town but far enough away to feel away from it all. The views from most rooms and public areas are exceptional.
The staff could not do enough and are so friendly. One young girl spent a good deal of time arranging my speedboat hire after the one I wanted was poked out. She printed out directions and maps, excellent service. The gardener even trimmed down a hedge to afford us a better view from our balcony.
I will definitely return and highly recommend this place.
