The room wasn't perfect, but what can you expect for 10 euros? The restaurant was suprizingly good (great zebu steak) aand the ost extremely friendly. I can recommend this place to any (budget) traveller.

Had a lunch here with a group tour. The food was traditional and there were vast quantities of it!!! There was live music to entertain us. The restaurant had a pleasant ambiance and there was a little balcony with a nice view over the back.

The place is nice, reception on the main road near the restaurant and bungalows opposite uphill. There is no electricity during the night till seven, so you cannot charge your devices, wifi is only in the restaurant so you have to take a meal to use it. The room was large and comfortable, TV old with broken remote and only two channels in Malagasy. The bathroom was old, only one middle-size towel for hands and bath and a small hand soap. Dinner at the restaurant had a big menu but few dishes available and definitely not special.

I did not stay at this hotel, but instead ate at the adjoining restaurant. We ordered pizza, which was quite good by Malagasy standards. The waitstaff were very helpful and friendly. The ambiance is nice as there are many beautiful wood carvings (what this area is know for) decorating the restaurant and there is also a nice view of the rice paddies out the window. If passing through Ambositra, eat here before or after shopping for handicrafts!
