With all the character and charm we hoped to expect from the lodge, we enjoyed every minute there. The staff are very friendly and helpful with good English.
The kids were kept amused by the tv corner and DVD selection. Which left us to enjoy the tea and brownies served in a lovely bone china cup and large pot. We sat in front of the stone fireplace with the fresh air and mountain views beaming through the window. One could not help but imagine what it must have been like for the Shanghai elite back in the 1920's who first built all the lovely stone houses up there.
Lunch was pleasent, a familiar menu to most westerners and the pork an mash we had for dinner was delicious. Pricey compared to most other Chinese restaurants but the food is good.
Thank you to everyone at the Lodge for making our visit most enjoyable. Keep up the good service.
