Sala Thai was convenient for a meal before catching the plane. Was a little concern when we arrived and upset customers were leaving without eating due to slow service. After placing our order our meal was placed within 20 minutes. The wait was worth it. The meal was fresh and cooked well. Will call in again on the way to catching a plane.

Decided to dine here last night of our holidays and a real let down. Menus were almost thrown at us, water was stale and beer was warm. We placed our order and were then told one dish wasn't available but then told it had been located in another fridge and within minutes served up which didn't fill us with confidence. Another dish (seafood) was lukewarm and had solid pieces of zucchini in it which hadn't been cooked at all. Chicken salad was ok but not the best I've eaten, very small serve of rice. We did complain about the seafood dish which we didn't risk eating and this was deducted from our bill but we still spent over $60 for a meal we didn't enjoy. Won't be patronising again.

We order takeaway from Sala Thai on a weekly basis and are always pleased with the quality and flavoursome food we receive. Although it can sometimes take a while for our order to be ready (we usually add 20mins to their time estimate) it is always worth it. The Chiken Satay Skewers, Beef Massaman Curry & Chicken Pad Thai are a few of our favourites. Would reccommend to anybody in the area for a laid back meal.

Recently enjoyed Thai takeaway from Sala Thai. It's located alongside the other restaurants on the restaurant strip on the old Pacific Highway at Tugun. Food was very fresh and the service very good. Recommend it if you're in the area.

We had a family dinner at Sala recently and were all impressed at the variety in the menu, serving size and price. The yellow beef curry, sweet and sour fish, and rice paper spring rolls were particular favourites. We also had the duck curry which could have had more duck in it but was still tasty! It is BYO wine and beer and very reasonably priced. Service was attentive and polite. We will definitely go back.
