“Amazing Holiday”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

The accommodation was great, being set in the best location on the coast. Rooms were spacious and clean and it was like a home away from home, BBQ and Pool Facilities and Mike and Annie are great to deal with. The beach being so close and walking distance to the Surf Club and Shops this would have to be one of my best holidays yet

Thanks for your great rating and wonderful comments.
We love our Beach Front location with no roads to cross, as all clients do.
Currently we are embarking on improving units, and providing better client contact, after travelling ourselves, and seeing how big operators and their staff can suffer from a lack of genuine customer service.
It is only a small thing but Lisa and I came home from our last trip with a view our holiday would have been better with better customer service by the staff, so we are setting about better personal contact with clients, and using first names, with a plesant smile.

Regards Garry.

The location of the resort is second to none, 50 yards from the beach. The room however (number 29) was possibly one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed in and believe me I have stayed in many. The furniture particularly the sofa's and carpets were just filthy, so much so that my wife refused to sit on the chairs or even take her shoes off for the whole time we were there. The apartment is apparently privately owned, but for $370 per night I expected so much more. I could not even recommend this place to somebody I didn't like!

Hello 49Andy

We are very receptive to our guests feedback and review as we see them as a very important part of constantly improving our service and quality.

We are glad you found the location so fantastic but are very disappointed and more than a little confused about the rest of your review.

Over a thousand people have stayed in that unit in the 6 years that I have been the Manager and I have never received any complaints related to any factor that you have mentioned.

The vast majority of the unit is tiled and our immediate inspection after receiving your review didn't find the carpet or sofa in the state that you describe.

We are so disappointed that you didn't mention your concerns to any of us during your stay. We are very approachable and keen to ensure our guests have a wonderful stay and address issues pretty much instantly we become aware of them.

Our cleaning staff work particularly hard and have in place a range of strategies to ensure the quality of the cleaning including supervisor checks and random checks. We will redouble our efforts to continue to delight our guests.

Best Regards

Garry

We were so impressed with everything about this place. The accommodation was perfect for a family of five. It was spacious and very well designed. The location was amazing! It was a brief walk down the path and onto the beach and there were plenty of shops in walking distance. The pool was a hit with the kids and the tennis court was a lot of fun. The staff were extremely friendly. We will definitely go to this resort again

As this is the third time i have stayed there the last time was 5years ago and the year before that ,so we thought we come again we stayed in unit 38 i did like our other unit better but unfortunate i cant remember the numbers,Great spot for family and staff very nice but felt this time that the unit need some TLC it look like it had been painted but have not done a very good job and room up stair needs air condition.. unit started to look run down and when you pay high dollars you do expect it to be finally nice.. overall it was ok but after looking on the net could of stayed in a 4b room for extra $300 just down the road.. resort does not have a lift which didn't worry us but you will have to walk 3 flights of stair if you stay up the top.i would tell people to stay here but not it that unit..also some of the beds have a foam mattress
very uncomfortable..

Thanks Caren ,and Will for your feedback .Yes it is a great spot for family and thanks for the appreciative comment on our Staff. We have commenced a renovation programme and encourage friends and relatives to look at units prior to completing a booking. We do a lot of Wedding accomodation here and encourage the Bride or Brides mother to inspect units ,this has worked well for all concernedin the past as we are confident of our room standard.

We had three generations of family staying together over the Christmas/New Year period & Sanctuary Beach Resort was perfect for us all. The accommodation No. 37, was spacious, light & airy, comfortable & well-equipped. The location is ideal - right on a beautiful, clean beach & only a short walk to a patrolled area. The facilities are excellent - tennis court, great BBQ area & lovely pool & spa - all of which we made good use of during our eleven night stay (which went far too quickly!). It was also great to have secure undercover parking. The biggest thank-you must go to the wonderful manager - Garry, absolutely nothing was a problem for him and when we experienced a couple of electrical glitches he replaced a DVD player & microwave within half an hour! We had an absolutely fantastic holiday and can't wait to come back!

Thank you John G.
It is very much appreciated when clients value an effort made on our part.
Being on the Beach Front we do have issues with salt and corrision from time to time.
Replacing equipment which unexpediatly fails is part of supplying a good product, and a pleasant experience.
We have a great location which never fails, so we are now striving to improve unit standard and supply outstanding service.

Regards Garry.

Fantastic family holiday in a very well run resort. We stayed in unit 27 and loved our 8 nights. Both bathrooms have been renovated and are in beautiful condition - very clean and a real feature of the unit. The kitchen has also had work done and is more than acceptable.
Only issue with the unit was the lounge setting, which are leather and need replacing (apparently this is happening very soon), once that happens the unit will be perfect. Bottom line, a well managed resort in a perfect location (right on the beach) and one will be be going to again.

My husband and I were very excited to find this little slice of paradise. The Sanctuary Beach Resort is located in one of the most perfect spots we have ever had the luck of finding. Located just a hop skip and a jump from one of the cleanest beaches in Australia. The managers Garry and Lisa were super friendly and very helpful in showing us great hot spots for dining and socializing. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. We had a hard time leaving and will not hesitate in staying there again.
