Friendly hosts that know just how to make you feel welcome and comfortable. There if you need them but never intrude on your stay. Fantastic food and plenty of it great cooking worthy of any top restaurant. Rooms clean and beautiful with everything you need in them. This is the best we have ever stayed in. We wanted a peaceful relaxing place and found it here. We didn't want to leave. We will be going back for sure. Just Magical. Michael and Marlene are just the best.

Room Tip: Heritage Room is the one to go for it is fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay at Kallora B&B, so much so that we didn't want to leave. Perfect location, beautiful room (best I've ever stayed in), wonderful service, and excellent hosts. Would definitely do it again. The stay was fantastic. Beautiful area, perfect distance from many wonderful trips around Gold Coast, and Mt Warning, etc. Excellent sleep. We had the place to ourselves - fantastic :D

Room Tip: We stayed in the Aztec Room. In the middle of two other rooms. Beautifully decorated, excellent. Lov...

Kallora Country Retreat is set on the hillside of the Currumbin Valley, a beautiful location but unfortunately you can't really take advantage of the view from the position due to the trees but there are nearby look-outs for photo ops. We stayed in the Heritage Room which had a lovely deck as well as an old style (albeit newly made) claw-foot bathtub - both of which we took full advantage of. The room was quaint, clean and relatively spacious. The bed was comfortable and we both had a very good sleep. There is a bit of road noise as the B&B sits just above the well-traveled road however it wasn't that bothersome just noticable. All-in-all comfortable. The downsides - breakfast while nice seemed a bit stingy - the basic with your choice of cooked eggs but HALF a hashbrown per person... We also found out after having a fairly personal conversation (normal voices, certainly not loud by any means) that the people in the next room heard EVERY word we said! Since we were on a romantic weekend away, who knows what else they heard!! While I would suggest it as a place to stay - especially if you're attending a function at the nearby Kanbeki House (as there aren't a lot of other accommodations in the area) - I would certainly warn about the paper thin walls.

Room Tip: The Heritage room is lovely if you're wanting to use the bathtub otherwise I expect the other ro...

My husband and I needed a break and decided to take ourselves away for some quiet time at Kallora Country Retreat. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, our hosts Marlene and Michael, were warm and friendly. The breakfasts were fantastic - fresh and yummy! Our room was spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed in such a tranquil setting. We cannot recommend this place enough. We booked three nights, and left feeling like we had been away a week! Thank you so much for our R&R at your lovely place, Michael and Marlene. We will definitely be back and recommend Kallora to our friends and family.

A lovely, top-notch modern B&B in a beautiful setting, and well positioned for touring from Brisbane. Michael and Marlene were wonderful and thoughtful hosts, and have thought to includ everything in the B&B from home-baked goodies to a hot-tub! A welcome site after driving all day in the rain. We had a delicious, large breakfast on the veranda and thoroughly enjoyed the flora and fauna. We think it was our nicest stay in Australia.

*A very special thanks to them for (graciously and expeditiously) shipping my forgotten purse and cell phone back to me in the US (even after considerable time and hassel for them!).

How can it be described:
- beautiful house hidden in the rain forest,
- tidy room, with all possible comfort,
- very nice and welcoming hosts,
- beautiful breakfast,
- spa and calm for relaxation.
... a great place for a romantic getaway.

Everyone would love to call home! (Well I do).

If you don't mind a drive along a narrow windy road, you will be rewarded with a relaxing pituresque break. Rooms are reasonable size with a common lounge area for guests. Hosts are very friendly and the continental breakfast (although standard) had the best quality fruit (better than most 5 star hotels). Thoroughly enjoyed and wish I had more time to stay and unwind......
