“Extremly poor tastless meat served in beautifully presented dishes a con!”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

The restaurant is set in beautiful surroundings. The interior is wonderful upon ordering the food everything was fine. The starters well presented we ordered several meat dishes We found the chicken to be rubbery and the kebabs tasteless though the onion bhaji were very nice. The main dishes were several chicken dishes. The sauces were very good but the chicken was fatty no taste whatsoever. We left most of it as it was too fatty.to eat on closer examination it looks like the cheap off cuts of the meat. The breads were fine. It is such a shame and disappointing as we would have been regulars having read the previous articles it appears the owner has not taken the comments regarding their meat suppliers on board. Shocking waste of money.

The buffet has to be one of the best family deals around and the food is very good too. Butter chicken excellent.

“Great Indian Restaurant at Emerald Lakes”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

The food was first class with the chicken dupiaza melting in your mouth. The curry was delightfully spicey not just hot and the meat was tender through out the dish. The nan bread was tasty and had plenty of fruit and the saffron rice was also cooked as we like it. We also had tikka prawns which were very tasty with the subtle tikka flaour all through the dish. My wife and my 4 year old son both enjoyed it too with the little one asking for more chicken twice. The flavours were exquisit and made other restaurants seem poor by comparison. Since arriving from the UK we have found only one Indian we would go back to ( Bayside in Brisbane twinned with Wolverhampton), however I can now say that we have a great Indian on the coast.
Can I just add that I was surprised to see the other comments as I said we have been twice now and enjoyed both times, perhaps they have lifted their game but my family will be keen to add this to our list of "Must go back"

“Don't bother with the lunch time buffet.”
Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

We decided to eat the Sunday lunch buffet. They were supposed to have 3 entrees and 4 mains plus rice, naan bread and condiments. When I went to get some mains there was only one Bain Marie with food in it. We had to wait for them to bring the food out and then all the guests would swamp the buffet. Not a pleasant lunch experience. When there is so little choice on the buffet they should keep the food topped up. I won't be returning to this buffet again.
