The Radisson Palm Meadows Resort is some distance from the Gold Coast (and the airport), but situated on a championship golf course that will attract many. The hotel itself is nicely kept and the poolside rooms are relaxing. Straying onto the golf course is discouraged. Check in and check out were good. The food was of high standard. The room was comfortable and quiet, with all amenities provided. If you are looking for a beach holiday or in-town action, this is not the place - but with a pleasant, easy-access pool and golf just across the road this resort would provide an excellent short holiday for many.

I have concerned about staying here after reading some of the reviews but we arrived and had the best time ever. The staff were very friendly and attentive and looked after us very well. We had a beautiful room over looking the golf course and there was free parking. The facilities within the resort and the room were fantastic. There were 2 pools neither of which were cold as previously mentioned. The larger pool was busier but the second pool empty we had it to ourselves for the entire day. We paid a very low rate and had a really enjoyable stay.

Needed to visit the coast area for various things and decided to extend our stay.
Looking thru hotels . com found the Radisson at an excellent price for January on the Gold Coast so booked for 4 days.
Had a look at the reviews here and I was concerned about what i had prepaid for.
Arrived at 2pm NSW time - not thinking of daylight saving time. Room was not ready - but not their fault. Went away to Broadbeach area for lunch. At 1-45 Qld time they rang to advise room was ready.
Went to book in and found they had upgraded us to a suite - our teenager now had a separate room - for $95 a night - incredible bargain.
Rooms were larger than the standard room and well presented - did not feel cramped - and bathrooms not as "folded up" as usual.
Bathroom had a spa, room had a king size bed, excellent air con and large flat screen.
NOTE - the room fridge was not packed full of overpriced mini bar product - it was empty and ready for YOU to use - that was a new experience!
The room was perhaps a little tired - but not an issue.
The servicing of the room was very good. Everything restocked!
Our room was situated on a 2nd floor - next to 2nd pool. Parking was close to the room and free.
Some one must be reading the comments here as a couple of things have changed for the better.
Internet in the rooms and the foyer is now completely free - only restriction is the "fair use" policy - more than reasonable.
They have upped the child rate to 16 and under - much fairer than 12 being the cut off.
The buffet dinner - seated by 6 and gone by 7 = 20% off the fixed price, and our 15 year was charged at $2 per year - very reasonable.
As far as location - yes you do need a car - 7 minutes to Broadbeach and Robina - but a clean run. You are not at the beach, but it is VERY quiet.
We visited the Broadbeach area at 9 pm on a Saturday and it was really buzzing - heaps of people - and we were very happy to get back to our quiet room.
Check out was simple and quick.
Will i be visitinag again - YES

I stayed at Radisson as part of a conference so I didn't know much about it when it was booked. When I arrived, I was very dissapointed with the outdated rooms. I had previously been staying at the Sofitel in Brisbane which was exactly the same rate per night but vastly different in quality.

Our first night there was a huge huntsman spider on the wall. We rang front desk for some insect spray and a young girl arrived who seemed to be more scared of the spider than we were. The following night we had 2 tropical sized cockroaches - the yellow pages In the room worked very well to dispense of them!

The room service was very small meals. To my surprise there was a $5 tray fee for delivering room service. I have never seen this fee at other hotels.

Most annoyingly is that the hotel is a 5-10min drive from Broadbeach and restaurants. I was happy when I saw a shuttle bus but then once again surprised that you had to pay for the bus to use it. I definitely would have thought this would have been a complimentary service.

Overall a poor hotel in a region of such great competition. You can
find much better and cheaper.

This place satisfied our need of a one night stay close to a function we were attending.
Check in/out was smooth and professional. The room was pretty good, nothing flash, but for the price, we didn't expect anything much. They were nice enough to give us a room overlooking the Gold Course on the 3rd floor (no lifts). The view was lovely, and we didn't expect this, as were had a cheap rate.

Honestly, if you are planning on staying there for more than one night, ask for a room on the 2nd of 3rd floor overlooking the course. There are a lot of rooms overlooking not much at all and the rooms on the bottom can have people looking straight in (although they may be nice for kids to have a run around).

Also, ask for a corner room if possible. The balcony's have no privacy but at least if you are on a corner you only have one other balcony looking onto you.
We didn't swim or eat at the restaurant but we ordered room service twice and it was very nice. MIND YOU, the coffee we paid for through room service was no better the coffee satchels in the room (terrible!!).

We checked in at 2pm and the room was stifling hot!!! The aircon took hours to cool it down and we were uncomfortable and sweating when getting ready to go the function. On return and in the morning it was better, but still not cool enough. Maybe they need a clean out! I suppose the entry to our room (like most) is through an open area (not like most hotels with aircon foyers etc), so it is terribly hot just outside the door, with hot air coming in under the door. I think they should leave the aircon on when they know someone is checking in because it was honestly awful and costs more in the end because the unit is struggling to cool such a hot area.

The beds were really comfortable!!! They appeared hard and we were worried but a good night sleep was had by all!

Please be aware that this place has no access to any snacks after hours. Room service closes at 10 or 10.30pm and there is no mini bar. And no place close by to grab something (middle of nowhere). They may have a vending machine in the foyer, but we were too tired to walk there, as we were in the furtherest block from the foyer. I doubt they would have one anyway. SO, if you get in 1am, after having last eaten at 7pm, and have the midnight munchies, plan on taking your own snacks.

I would stay here again but only for a night and only for a reason (such as close to a function). It's not bad for the price.

Someone said pool was too cold - they have TWO pools, one heated, one not.
Some rooms ARE right on the footpath exposing occupants to passersby, but the rooms on the OTHER side of the building are not.

As cooking or toasting in the rooms is prohibited, you're a captive unless you have a car or are willing to use busses, the shuttle, or cabs to get a decent meal off site. Surprising, no BBQ facilities on site! Lotsa good restaurants in Robina and on the strip, but we particularly liked the closest one - Michael's Kitchen - a steak house due west just before the freeway.
