Dragonfly Cottage is a delightful and comfortable cottage set in gorgeous surroundings of bush and creek and garden. One could almost stay there and go nowhere else, as the birdlife appearing on the verandah is unbelievable, and birds so tame - a kookaburra allowed us to stroke his feathers as he sat on the railing, and birds ate out of our hands.
But the surrounding tracks in the Springbrook National Park are stunning - the natural bridge, waterfalls, creeks, and views over majestic forest to the coast in the distance.
Quite the most beautiful place we have stayed in on our many trips to Australia.
It had everything we wanted. It also had two bonuses. One was feeding the cockatoos and parrots on the verandah and the other was being so close to the shops and Purling Falls. It had a view of the creek and was in a quiet street. It had three steps so probably wasn't really wheelchair accessible but given the gradient of hill it sat on that would have been difficult. Everything else in the house though they fine tuned to make it a pleasurable experience.
