We spent 4 nights in Doc with 2 children and we will be back - but without kids next time. Even though the property is obviously geared towards romantic getaways, we were made to feel very, very welcome.

The chalet was fully equipped with everything we could need, and was well positioned within about 300metres of a national park with various walks. There is very little open at Springbrook after 5pm (any day), so it is really important to be able to self cater. Mouses House chalet's provide a fully equipped and compact kitchen, along with a BBQ on the deck over looking the stream.

Even though the coast was sweltering in 30 plus degree heat, we did enjoy warming by the wood fire on one of the cooler nights. The property's spa bath was much appreciated by all family members, especially after one of our longer bush walks, as was the in-Chalet 2 person spa. The wi-fi internet was used to keep in contact with the outside world, and the larger screen TV/DVD combo, was just the ticket for the kids to wind down prior to bed.

All in all, this is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in as it allowed us to tune off . Next time, my husband and I wish to enjoy it's more romantic sides (sans kids).

We stayed at Mouses House for our honeymoon and it was fantastic! Even amongst all the beautiful places to stay in the south east Queensland mountains, Mouses House really stood out for us - with all chalets being secluded from each other, our own private outdoor spa hottub by a beautiful stream, webber bbq and steps leading down to the stream where you could dip your feet on the stream, it was a good start! In addition to this, we'd never seen so much wildlife too - possums, and a wallaby hopping across the stream while we say in the hot tub were the highlights! We also had amazing in-chalet massages from Tranquil Massages, recommended by Mouses House, just to really push our relaxation over the edge! It was te perfect antidote to our 25hour journey back from our wedding in the UK and we both can't wait to go back!

We spent 3 nights in Happy and could have stayed for 3 weeks. 1987 was the last time we were here and should not have waited 25 years to come back. We definitely will be back sooner, with the kids this time. Everything about the place and it's surrounds is special. The facilities provided are all top class and the service friendly and professional. I recommend you do the walks around the falls and drive to Best of All Lookout.

Room Tip: Cannot go wrong, any chalet will be excellent. Also check out the diary, and leave an entry. We took all our own food, but if you get stuck, I believe you can get a BBQ and Breakfast basket.

Having spent one night in Dopey a few years back it was wonderful to return and spend 4 nights in Snow White. We had beautiful weather every day. Made very good use of the new outside spa by the stream. Ate all our meals in the outdoor undercover bbq area joined by turkeys and lizards. Joined at night by 4 possums who loved to be fed the fruit we had taken for them. The chalet had everything we needed for our stay and Wayne was very helpful with tips on the nearby walks. Will be certain to return. My favourite place of all to visit.

Room Tip: Stay in the luxury rainforest spa and stream chalets. Well worth the extra money to have the spa outside as well as inside

Our chalet (Cinderella) in this exquisite and pristine setting was absolutely perfect.. Beautifully situated to ensure privacy ithe chalet has plenty of space with beautiful stone floors, spacious kitchen, barbecue and a working fireplace, It was also very well sealed so we found no creepy crawlies inside (there are hardly any outside either). We did use our car but there are excellent walks with gorgeous waterfalls which start within walking distance of the hotel itself. The owners of the hotel are warm, helpful and knowledgeable. We loved our 4 nights there and would certaiinly recommend Mouses Hotel.
