Only stayed one night but would definitely return. Facilities are spotless. Had shared toilet and shower which looked as if they had been recently renovated along with room. Aircon, fan, tv and small fridge with camp kitchen directly outside. What more could you need for an overnight stay.

Hi Sandra,
Thank you for your great review on our backpacker style lodgings! Those have actually just been renovated so it is great to hear some positive feedback. The new air-conditioning systems are a great bonus especially coming up to Summer.

Hopefully next time you stay with us it will be longer than a night!

Kind Regards,
The Team at Tally :)

Beautiful, well designed campsite on the banks of the estuary. Staff were wonderful & couldn't do enough to help. Despite it being school holidays & being completely full the facilities were still spotless & were cleaned regularly throughout the day. The pool is great although didn't feel heated & despite getting some use by kids we didn't see many adults brave enough. The campsite is on a very busy road & there was some noise from this. My only complaint - if I'm being picky was that the playground & recreation room are at the edge of the park near the entrance on to this busy road & there is nothing to stop them running out & although there is nothing of interest to draw them out there think perhaps a fence with a gate at least as far as the first site would help parents of littlies relax a bit more. Overall though a lovely place for all the family & will definitely be back

Hi Mel,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on the Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park. Really great to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us these school holidays! That is a really good suggestion in regards to a gate or fence of some sort around the recreation room- will certainly pass that onto our asset maintenance team.

Hopefully we will see you again soon!

Kind Regards,
The Team at Tally :)

A great park with a great location on the Gold coast. Located on the river inlet, whilst expensive in peak seasons, it is well located on a river inlet, The facilities were well maintained but i found the showers small with limited hanging space & the toilets you had to be a contortionist.During peak seasons including school holidays, this is really a family park.

Hi David,
Thank you for your review on the Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park. Yes you said it- definitely A LOT of kids around throughout school holidays. We are certainly much quieter throughout off peak periods!

Hope to see you again soon.

Loved the proximity to the water from all units. Deluxe villas are 2 storey and set back behind smaller villas at the front, have some water views and easy access to water. Choose villas on the west side of grounds to avoid GC Hwy noise. Great location, grounds pleasant and big pool for kids. Plenty of beach space on river and great walking options. Unfortunately, the "deluxe" villa with two QS beds barely sleeps 6, let alone 8. Sofa bed upstairs is so uncomfortable, we used our own matress on top. Only kids under 10 can sleep somewhat comfortably. Many lights and wifi not working, some fixtures broken or badly installed. Balcony seats 4 (just), not sure what we were supposed to do with the other 2 people. Only ONE WC in the villa (problem with 6-8 ppl) and one bathroom (just doable). All not too bad, but at that price we would have expected a bit more. Still a great place to go!

Room Tip: waterfront villas are beautiful. Large "deluxe" villa was spacious but not so deluxe unfo...

Hi Annette,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us on Trip Advisor. We are happy to hear that you loved the parks location and grounds. We are very sorry to hear about your issues with the deluxe villa and sincerely apologise for this. While we cannot change the villa layout at this stage i.e. the one bathroom and the WC, we can certainly pass on your comments to our asset maintenance team for ideas on future villa renovations/refurbishments.

If at any time throughout your stay you are experiencing maintenance issues such as broken lights or fixtures, please notify us at reception and we can get our groundsmen to fix this as soon as possible. Sometimes we are unaware of such issues unless guests bring them to our attention so thank you for notifying us of this. We will also have a look into the issues you mentioned in regards to the pull out sofa bed and the balcony seating.

Thank you for bringing all of these issues to our attention and we will try to get them resolved as soon as possible. We hope that these issues will not affect your return to the Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park and we can welcome you back soon.

Kind Regards,
The Team at Tally :)

This was our first time staying there, we preferred to stay in a park as opposed to a high rise on our visit from Sydney, so the kids could have more room to play. Great location, and the pool is great for the kids. It is central to everything and has a family atmosphere. we stayed in a two bedroom delux/two story Villa. the villa was lovely in style, and very clean, however it lacked ongoing maintenance, the free to air and paid TV did not work, the washing machine was broken and other small issues, such as light bulbs not working, remote controls for airconditioners not working ect. The maintenance staff were very helpfull, however you do pay a premium in school holidays to stay, which is the same costs as a new high rise in sufers, so you would expect the basics to work. overall though a great environment and lovely park

We have been coming here every September for the past 8 years now. It is a great place for kids of all ages. We always stay in the same waterfront villa and although it is expensive it is worth the price as the safe and shallow waters of the creek are only steps away. While we sit and relax under the shady trees the kids can play safely in the sand and at the waters edge. When they were younger the buckets and spades etc were left on the beach for the day (unlike when you stay in a highrise and you have to lug everything up and down in lifts every time you head to the beach) We regularly see dolphins in the creek which is always a treat. The park facilities are great and they have organised activities in the school holidays. Staff are friendly and helpful and the times we have had maintenance issues they have been on our doorstep within minutes to fix the problem. We have recommended it to many friends who have also gone back again and again. There is a great shopping centre on minutes away by car and a nice take away within walking distance, as is the local surf club which do great meals. The cabins all have bbqs on the deck which makes cooking simple. The only downside is the wifi. It is near impossible to get on and if you do manage to it is soooo slow. Still, who needs wifi when they are having fun in the great outdoors.

Hi YDD2013,
Thank you for your great informative review on the Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park! Very sorry for the maintenance issues that you experienced throughout your stay but it is great to hear our groundsmen got onto the issues straight away. Yes the WI-FI is very temperamental and often hard to access from the waterfront as such we try to recommend connecting at the recreation room as that area picks up the best signal. Apologies for the inconvenience that this may have caused though. Hopefully this did not affect your stay too much and we will see you again soon!

Kind Regards,
The Team at Tally :)
