Checking into this beautiful park was a pleasure. The grounds were very well kept and offered great faculties. The pools and spas were beautiful. A great kids program was available even though it wasn't peak season. A special mention to Pip, who ran the program. My daughter thought you were wonderful and so did I. Thank you so much Pip, you are a wonderfully talented person and it was a pleasure to meet you. The only detraction I would have to say is the noise at the park. The highway noise as well as staff. Trucks coming in during the night were noisy and didn't make me feel very safe. The park staff generally were very friendly and I enjoyed chatting to them. There was a slight mix up on check out, easily resolved however I felt the front reception was a bit defensive where it wasn't really warranted. It was a shame to end a great stay on this note. Would highly recommend this park, just ask the front reception to be a bit nicer!

We have stayed at Treasure Island twice but now choose to stay elsewhere. Not because Treasure Island isn't any good, just the value for money can be better at other venues such as Paradise Resort. We stayed in the Junior Garden Villa and found them to be small and a bit tatty. We felt the food was not value for money nor healthy which is what kids really need. The issue of not refilling tea and coffee or towel changes was disappointing given the money charged. The staff too were friendly on arrival but not on our departure and certainly didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay or any issues etc. the facilities are great as well. The mini golf and tennis court, as well as the jumping pillow was great. My recommendation is, if you stay here, don't order food and if something is wrong make sure you let them know. Treasure Island is good but they need to improve value for money. Great location.

We stayed a week at Treasure Island and loved it. The location of the park is fantastic as its 30mins from the heart of the Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise) and across the road from Harbour Town, which is a massive discount shopping complex. Supermarkets and fast food outlets a plenty and very close by. If you want to go to the Movie theme parks, it takes 10 to 15 mins by car to get to all then. The park itself is outstanding. Very clean and wonderful gardens. Right on the riverbank so kids loved feeding the ducks. We stayed in a Pandanus villa and it was wonderful. It had everything you need and was very clean. They are not cleaned every day but thats OK as it really is not needed. Linen was changed half way thru our stay. Only had a few issues..... the airconditioning has a cut off over switch that is on the wall. It needs to be pressed to start the air con and switches off after 3 hours, which is not a problem when your awake, however when you go to sleep and if it is in the middle of a hot summer - not good, as it takes no time at all to heat back up. It has ceiling fans and when we stayed it was fairly cool by very late at night or early hours of the morning, but if we opened up the window we had the incredible noisey airconditioning motors right outside our window which were ours and other villas. For some reason they went all night. The other difficult task was working the washing machine as there were no instructions, so we ended up looking it up on the internet as the door was left in the locked position and would not close. And lastly as we travelled interstate, I didn't want to buy dish washing liquid. As they provided this when we arrived, when we ran out I went to the office to get more and staff advised there was not many left so I was left feeling horrible when I went to get more. Apart from that our stay was great !!!

Our child enjoyed the pools, spa and jumping pillow. There were plenty of other children for her to meet. There was a movie night under the stars. Our cabin was pleasantly quiet as it was away from the road and pools. The cabin was nice although there was a large cockroach camped at the head of one of the beds (perhaps this is to be expected in Queensland). We were going to try Treasure Island's bistro, but the Trivia Night made it far too noisy, so we ate elsewhere. Service was friendly on check-in. On check-out, however, the girl at reception did not even make eye contact, and kept staring at her computer screen as she bid us farewell and handed out the ubiquitous Big4 jelly beans.

Room Tip: It may be noisy if you are camped near the movie area or the roads.

We stayed in April. We had booked a premium powered site. The park was esembly well booked as last week of Queensland school holidays. The park was very clean and tidy as was the amenities. The children loved the usual Big 4 items - jumping pillow etc which provided plenty of entertainment for them. The downside to the park is that your packed in like sardines but the lush green surrounds with plenty of palm trees does make it a little more private. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Would probably stay here again if needed.

We stayed for two nights in early April in a ‘budget cabin’, which was more than $160 per night. The cabin was old and cramped, although reasonably clean. There was no microwave and no bedside lights, and no storage space. There was a lot of traffic noise from the highway, which is a major road between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. I've stayed in cabins in other holiday parks and this cabin was very poor value for money.
There was a possum on the roof of the cabin the first night we were there, keeping us awake with its noisy scurrying. When I reported this to reception in the morning, I was told that it was ‘very unlikely’ to be a possum, but they would get Maintenance to look into it. I wonder whether the possum is still there.
The second night, there was a storm and torrential rain. A large palm frond fell onto my car, making a huge noise early in the morning. I think the palm trees need to be trimmed regularly, to prevent that sort of thing from happening.
On the positive side, the pool and spa are good, and the common facilities (e.g. laundry) are clean and well-maintained. It’s a long way to the beach, though.

Thank you for your feedback on your stay with us.

We have a great range of cabins to choose from at our park. The cabin in which you stayed is one of the base models. These base model cabins are earmarked for redevelopment in the new financial year. During Peak season accommodation is in high demand and tariffs consequently increase but are always maintained at a competitive level. When guests stay at Treasure Island they have the opportunity to access a large range of our own facilities and activities free of charge, including the swimming pools, waterslide, spa, playground, jumping pillow and selected Kids Club sessions, however the Park provides convenient access to many tourist attractions such as the Gold Coast’s theme parks and Harbourtown Shopping Centre which is only 100m down the road.

Maintenance staff regularly de-frond palms to ensure the grounds are well maintained, however the inclement weather often experienced on the Gold Coast can cause further debris to fall; unfortunately there is no gardening regime that can prevent this. I believe the possum you thought was on your roof was actually a bush turkey; they often roost in the tree tops and unfortunately there is no humane way to prevent this. We apologise for the disturbances and hope that you can understand.

Very expensive but kids will love the pool. Lovely gardens make this place nice to relax. Avoid the junior garden villa! We looked At booking this, we're so glad we didn't as high traffic and no privacy. We stayed in a pool side villa, although they are not really pool side, you Couldn't even really see the pool from ours (265) and the gate is not on the villa side. Was quiet at night though whereas other parts of the park were not. 264 has kids bunks facing right into our front sitting area, less than 1 m away so online plan layout is wrong as unit is angled. If we turned our lights on, or sat outside, kids in 264 would not be able to sleep.
Biggest complaint was no fresh towels for 6 nights. They 'don't do that'. also no coffee or tea refills, bad luck.
Biggest positive was location. Right next door to Harbour Town shopping centre, which has cafes (nonnas Italian is BRILLIANT) open to 9pm and a movie theatre. Hungry jacks and mc Donald's are also just across the road. Kids can hire go karts for $10 hour and jump free on a big pillow.
After walking the grounds, we decided we had the best place, along with lagoon villas and back fence townhouses, which were far too expensive for us.
Buffet dinner Friday night, expensive and you only get one plate for the night, which is supposed to do salads, mains and fresh fruits..? Didn't like that. Food was ok, but wasn't refilled so if you missed out, bad luck.
Overall, kids loved it due to the pool which had a slide and little toddler Area as well, plus a rock spa, so that gave us some peace and because of that, and the location, we would return. Even if a little too expensive for what it is. Oh... Kids bunks are not proper mattresses but plastic covered very uncomfortable mats, much like thin dog beds? Feels like sleeping on wood and definitely had not been cleaned under as cereal like food was found underneath. :( maybe management could be improved.

Room Tip: To the outside is quieter. Stay away from entrance road.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review on your stay at our park.

It sounds like the kids really enjoyed it and we agree that it is the perfect destination for a family holiday because of its great location and there is so much for the kids to enjoy at the park.

Yes we have different types of villas and we differentiated the 'Pool Side' from the 'Pool View' villas. We are sorry this confuses some people but ultimately these villas are the closest to the pools compared to others.

Thank you for your feedback in regards to refreshing towels and tea/coffee stations for guests during longer stays. We will look into this further to ensure we are meeting guests needs as much as possible.

We will also look into the buffet dinner one plate rule as well as the mattresses on the bunk beds. We apologise these did not meet your expectations and we hope to ensure these issues are rectified where appropriate.

Once again thank you for the review and we look forward to seeing you return to our park soon.

Kind Regards,

Annika
