“An evocative natural setting, very welcoming hosts and a good standard of accommodation”
Reviewed April 4, 2010

My wife and I were travelling with 3 children aged 11,14 and 17 and looking for something a little different.

Having thought about staying in Tromso we are so glad we ventured 30 km west - as Lauklines was a wonderfully picturesques and relaxing place.

The accomodation was well equiped, warm and Andreas and Hannah were very welcoming and helpful. We had no complaints at all

You really need to a hire a car, which is really convient from the airport. The drive to Lauklines is no more than of 30/40 minutes

There is a good supermarket on the way and despite all the rumours found self catering no more expensive than the UK for most things - although we had brought pasts and rice with us - which is pricy

Despite our reservations we found the dog sleighing at the Tromso Wilderness Centre to be great - the kids loved it - and Andreas organised some ice fishing on the Fjord - which again I would recommend.

Tromso has enough in it to fill half a day or so

We stayed 4 nights which I think was ideal - flying to Oslo to finish our break. We hoped to see the Northern Lights and saw them on 3 nights - they were worth the trip alone !
