“Fantastic Seafood Buffet...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

Sheraton Mirage had a special on in August where you paid just $45 for their seafood buffet for lunch M-F. I had never eaten there before, so was really looking forward to the experience. I took my mum and the two of us had a lovely table by the window overlooking the poolside. We were very well looked after by the wait staff and were also shown promptly to our table. The buffet here is superb. There is so much food, that even when it is busy like it was when we went there was never any food that ran out and if there was it was quickly replenished by the chefs from the kitchen. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone, any request was answered immediately. The food was very fresh, tasty and the variety left you wondering how on earth can you fit all this in. That was just for entree and mains. Then came the dessert buffet which was fantastic. If you love dessert you will love this one. Anything you can think of has been made for your consideration, even and ice-cream bar with about 8 flavours. Yum! It is really good value. You just need a couple of stomachs to fit it all in. Will definitely return to this one. Love it!

“Seafood Delights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for many years and just love the Buffett, the service and the surrounds. If you enjoy seafood well you cannot go beyond this experience.

We take our family generally once or twice a year and they love it as much as we do. It is not cheap however there are membership arrangements that can make it affordable.

It was recently refurbished and is now light and airy and has modern furnishings.

Breakfast is also a must do and it is not rushed. Well worth a visit.

Highly recommended.

“Great position, great views, great food, great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

This has been a favourite of mine for many years, recently refurbished and very nice, bookings essential especially on the week ends. After dining you can take a walk on the beach. The seafood is always of high standard and there is also plenty of other choices for those that cannot eat seafood. If you have a starwood card you dine two for one which is great value and then you also get vouchers like a free bottle of wine for your birthday and group dining vouchers so you can also take friends to dine two for one.
One word of warning though be careful when in the lower floor as I fell straight into the interior pool pond !

“Superb buffet restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

A superb restaurant in a marvellous setting. Buffet breakfast among the best I have encountered. The evening dinner buffet had a superb choice. The prawns and calamari were very good. The desserts were mouth watering. I shall return.

“Limited selection, Marriott and QT Bazaar better.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

The food itself was mediocre.. this is not the Marriott or the QT Bazaar even though the price is on par.
There were just no surprises, scraping in with the bare minimum of options, nothing wow'ed us.

The selection is extremely limited- there was no baby octopus, clams, scallops, lobster, bugs and the seafood that was available wasn't great or cooked very well (prawns being the exception). Cooked muscles and oysters were teeny tiny, fresh oysters were also and flavorless.
While I may sound extremely critical, I think we should be, when we're able to select a far superior quality for the same price within a very short distance, with foreknowledge.

The food is located very close together, with very little walk way. Over crowding made it awkward to choose a meal and find accompanying sauces. It was unpleasant watching staff clearly frustrated with the crowd trying to refill bays and navigate back through the throng of people. To me, this spoiled the effect of dining in a luxury resort, it was stressful rather then being leisurely and relaxing.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, fresh, clean and inviting. This would be a lovely restaurant for a group or family gathering (if you were to pick up a discount because I don't feel justification in the price). The wait staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Not recommended for a couple looking to speak intimately or share a romantic meal together.
