As a long time resident on the Gold Coast, Terraces Seafood Buffet Restaurant at Sheraton Mirage was always our first choice for 5 star excellence and quality.

We were very disappointed for the first time. Admittedly there are renovations still continuing and all the lagoon pools were empty (a slight musky/dusty smell) as well as the swimming pool. So the outlook was lacking its usual appeal. The restaurant has been modernised and looks good.

The Buffet price was reduced - a winter price! However, there was no mention that it was going to be a far less impressive and very restricted selection on offer. The fresh seafood was limited to oysters, prawns and some spanner crab. The cooked seafood was perch in sauce, crumbed whiting and calamari skewers. There was a limited selection of dishes e.g. Spring Rolls; Chicken curry & Rice; Sweet & Sour Pork; Roast Meat & Vegetables. The dessert selection was about one third of what would normally be on display.

We hope this is just an interim problem, as Terraces Restaurant has always had a superb reputation. Our suggestion would be to wait until all the work is finished and maybe when the price goes back up, the quality and selection will also.

A quick note regarding the staff.....they always work extremely hard and were very attentative and accommodating.

Our family booked the Facebook deal for the seafood buffet. As we had for the past years been big fans of the Marriott buffet (this no longer exists for lunch during the week), we decided to try Terraces. My father in law goes to alot of the top end restaurants so I was hoping to not disappoint him. The restaurant looks fantastic, white, clean, open very stylish. The buffet was by far a great experience, the oysters were the best we have had in a long time as we are not fans of the pacific oysters happy to find they did not serve these. Prawns were fresh, the cooked salmon was perfect plus it did not sit under a warmer for hours-well done. The desert buffet looked a treat, well presented and as I looked around alot of happy diners (I'm more a cheese person). Rachel and Kirk were very hands on, when we enquired about the renovations to Rachel, she was very informative, knew her product and she was entertaining, if Rachel chooses to stay in the industry she will go far I think. I was also asked by one of the chefs how everything was, again nice to see the staff are interacting with the guests. We are already discussing our next venture to Terraces I will however request maybe a little larger table for 4 people as just a little cramped with plates etc, no biggy though. As we generally dine on a Tuesday or a Wednesday lunch I hope that prices remain reflective to keep the locals returning. Great day, great food, great wine menu too.

We stayed at the Sheraton for a long weekend and were very excited to try the Terraces Seafood Buffet. My partner and I were quite disappointed with the food more than the experience. The wait staff were friendly but the standard of food was nowhere near 5 star. Although fresh, the way the food was prepared was very bland. After one trip up to the buffet, we were uninspired for the following. It's not terrible food, just very mediocre.

This restaurant at the Sheraton Mirage Resort has a excellent assortment of food to eat at breakfast. Even has Japanese items such as tofu, Japanese pickles, steamed rice, and miso soup. Salad items, fresh fruits, cheese, eggs ready to order, and even yogurt sorbet, and vanilla ice creams to put on your waffles with berries. Croissants with with custard, and others with ham and cheese are available.
Many different juices are available, yogurt, muesli, and dried apricots too.

What a fabulous place! Beautiful atmosphere, superb food and the service exceptional. The staff were at hand every moment of our dining experience. Went with a friend from interstate who was absolutely thrilled with the variety and quality of the food. I celebrated a birthday there 3 years ago and felt the quality was the same. Great then, great now.
