As per previous review - why do some people work in the Tourism industry? They obviously don't enjoy their jobs! The on site managers wouldn't know how to raise a smile, let alone provide any service to their guests. I asked for some assistance in booking a theme park visit & was ushered towards a brochure display as the only help available. The managers receive a commission on bookings so I took great pleasure in booking direct. As soon as you enter the premises you are confronted by rules & regulations posted everywhere - the lobby, the lift, the unit, with nothing friendly suggested anywhere. Also there are security cameras throughout the common areas - gym, pool, lobby, lifts, etc which is a bit over the top.
If you can ignore all the above & focus on the fabulous location as we did, you will still enjoy your stay. This is our second visit (last one six years ago) & we would probably stay there again - but definitely do not expect any friendly service.

We stayed for a total of 4 nights in a spacious apartment which was fine; clean and great location. The only problem was the staff (or maybe they were the owners). Could only describe them as unhelpful, unfriendly, unwelcoming and totally stingy!

I have recently returned from staying at the Golden Sands apartments in Surfers Paradise in Australia, where I stayed with my husband and another couple. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with sea views, and I couldn't believe the location when we arrived, as it was completely beachfront. The views from the bedroom and lounge windows were of sea and beach, absolutely stunning.

The apartment was really nicely done out, very light and airy. There was no air conditioning, but keeping the windows / balcony door open kept the place cool, and both bedrooms had ceilling fans so we didn't get overheated.

In terms of facilities, there is a small private pool with loungers, a tennis court, BBQ area, small gym, dedicated parking and internet access. To be honest, as we were so close to the beach this is where we tended to head most.

Location-wise, you are about a 15-20 minute walk from main Surfers Paradise - personally we preferred this as you are in an area with an older crowd, and slightly less touristy. Nearby Tedder Avenue had some nice restaurants and bars about 5 minutes walk from the apartment. There is a small shop just over the road if you run out of essentials.

In summary, we really enjoyed our stay here, and I would definitely book here again if we were to return to this area. Lovely apartment, amazing views and you can't get better for the beach!
