Sea World is the place to go, young or old there is something for everyone. The monorail or chair lift takes the strain out of walking. The rides and exhibits are first class and the many food outlets cater to all. It is a happy place with lots of laughter and many smiles on staff and patrons alike.

Went to Sea World with family including our five year old granddaughter. Everything was mostly great, rides were fun and most staff were very helpful and went out of there way to explain facilities etc.
We wanted to record all of our ride experiences but the costs of photos can make that prohibitive. The staff member at the photo collection point, after our first ride on the Viking Flume, explained that the purchase of a $40 USB would include our photo and we could add as many other ride photos to the USB for free all day. We could even present the USB to the other affiliated theme parks, Warner bros on the Gold Coast and wetnwild, and have the photos taken at those parks included for $10 each, which was a considerable cost saving to us. Very helpful so we bought one and are glad we did.
We enjoyed the seal show and apart from the pesky seagulls at the manta ray exhibit, still managed to fee some fish to the Rays. The only downer here was the cost of five lousy pieces of fish at $9! At San Diego sea world you get a whole tray of fish for $4! Very expensive exercise.
The real detraction from sea world for us, was the expensive food and an episode with a rude staff member and show content at the dolphin show.
Our granddaughter was too young to experience any of the dolphin interaction experiences, so was disappointed that she could not touch a dolphin. We tried to ensure that she would at least be able to see the dolphin show without being blocked by taller spectators in the arena. We made sure to arrive early to get a seat in the front. When we arrived, we noticed three full front rows set aside for disabled patrons all across the arena. There were no disabled patrons in the arena right at the start of the show so we asked the staff attendant if our granddaughter could sit there. She replied rather rudely "you don't look disabled to me" and turned away. Less than five minutes later, she was telling all in sundry who were arriving as the show started that they could sit there as there were no disabled patrons requiring the seats! Utter rubbish!! To top that off, during the show, the staff presenting stopped the show to ask if anyone would like to touch a dolphin, so of course all the kids shot up their hands, our granddaughter included. The presenter then proceeded to pick a forty year old woman and a late aged teenager, who all have the opportunity to participate in an experience if they want to, instead of a little one who is otherwise too small to do so. This part of the proceedings was boring for the rest of us, who could not see or hear what was going on by the pool and only served to cause a whole slew of four and five year olds to melt into tears and spend the entire remaining portion of the show howling because they didn't get picked to touch the dolphin! Unnecessary part of the show as far as we were concerned and poor form, Sea World. If you can't offer that to all the kids in the audience, who otherwise cannot do so because of your age restrictions, then don't offer it at all to anyone.
Despite these glitches, we enjoyed our day but can say that there is only enough to do for a one day visit. No need to spend any more than one day there.

Seaworld was awesome, catered for all 3 of my kids age 9, 6, 3. The two younger loved just visiting the animals while the older one went with her dad to do the rides. The food was a bit on the pricey side. we bought the big cups with straws for the kids and just refilled them with water. We just bought three meal deals to share between the 5 of us, as we did pack some snack food as well. I just suggest get there when it opens to be able to fit it all in on the one day, we arrived hour n half after opening and missed some of the shows. My kids did enjoy sitting up on grass bank where you watch the helicopter fly in and out, the dolphins in the nursery area as well as the jet boats.

We visited Sea World with 2 children (ages 7 & 8) and we LOVED it. The admission price is high but once you are in you have access to so many things that I think it is worth saving up for. Sea World prices for food, drinks, ice creams, etc are very high. Take some snacks in with you (meusli bars, etc are a good choice!) and a water bottle each and you can save heaps. We steered away from the main rides as there were long queues, and with so much else to look at it was easy. The kids were apprehensive about "patting" the rays in the big ray pool but once they did they wanted to stay longer. The rays lift their wings/flaps right up out of the water on the edge of the pool! The Seal Show & Dolphin Show were both fantastic and a good chance to sit down for half an hour. Towards the end of the day when our feet were getting tired the kids loved climbing the huge Sky Fortress at Castaway Bay while we were able to sit at tables nearby with some much needed and reasonably priced coffee. (SIGH!) A trip on the monorail can save a bit of walking if you plan ahead. The kids loved all the little kids rides and seeing REAL penguins. I loved the polar bears & dolphins. You can spend a fortune if you want to, or plan carefully, save heaps, and lash out on coffee & ice creams at the end of the day like we did at Castaway Bay. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did.
