“Great day out but a couple of improvements needed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

We have lived on the Gold Coast for years but it has been ages since I have been to Seaworld as we had a Dreamworld annual. I finally took my 3 year old daughter last week and has a magnificent day. So much for all ages to do and see and all the shows have a wonderful story about looking after our environment and sustainability.

The two negatives that took a star away were (1) many shows had NO shade and shows on close to the middle of the day. Saw many walk from shows due to the heat. (2) Only found one water fountain in the whole park and the water tasted so bad. Dreamworld has water fountains everywhere. At $4 a small bottle of water it is crazy. They must want patrons to spend all their money on water and not on other food and merchandise.

Make sure you have sunscreen, hat and water to enjoy the day. Seaworld, would be worth just adding a couple of improvements for perfection

“Still number one.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

Sea World on the Gold Coast is still the number one theme park in Australia in my opinion. Its a complete day from the ample parking, reasonable entry (pensioner discounts etc available), through to the many shows and rides. I think the best way to structure your day is to try to do all the shows you want to see during the morning and then the afternoon can be spent on the rides as the number of visitors starts to reduce. There is also a nice eatery that serves cold drinks beer included, it is near the rides area of the park, so good for parents to relax and wind down and let the kids go crazy on the rides. The Polar Bear enclosure and Dolphin shows are great and a must see. as is the Shark reef that they have added to the park. All in all I doubt anyone would be disappointed, can be hard to get a seat at the main eatery area when the Jet Ski show is on. They don't do the old ski show they used to do but still good and they always involve the crowd well in the shows at Sea World. Have visited here over ten times myself and can recommend it to all visitors.

“Very average”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013 via mobile

The resort feels very tired. The day started with a prepaid queue that was longer than those without a ticket. Next we waited for the cable car but gave up as it was so slow. On the plus side the penguins and polar bears were fascinating to watch. Battle boats and roller coasters were good. Paying another five dollars for the pathetic water park was an insult. At $89 bucks for an adult ticket I felt very underwhelmed. The whole place needs an update or re-think. I won't be rushing back.

“Fun Family Day out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

I visited Seaworld with my wife, 3YO, 18MO and parents whilst on holidays. We went on a day with nice weather. The kids loved watching the sea loin show, the dolphins and Dora the Explorer. The adults enjoyed the Sharks, Polar bears and Jet boats. Although the entry fee is a bit pricey it is good considering the wildlife need upkeep, and there is alot of new attractions under construction. We pre-purchased our tickets as a part of a 3 park VIP pass prior to our holiday so the cost is spread over many days of fun.
After reading reviews about the quality of the food for sale we swung past subway on the way and grabbed some sandwhiches. This was a great idea as most of the food there is burgers, pizzas etc, not the best for the kiddies.
Overall a great family day out, we all came home very tired....
