bit old and run down, not much for the children under 9yrs to do.
the rides for the littlies ie merry go round looked like they were so old they could break at any minute.
the 3D sponge bob cartoon wasn't worth the wait

“Great value family day out”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

So much in such a small space. Thankfully it wasn't Qld school holidays and we were visiting from NZ so the crowds and lines weren't too bad. We loved the live animal shows and displays such as the dolphins, sealions, sharks, stingrays and penguins. Not so great for food and drink though.

“Great attraction for young kids”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

My kids aged 3 and 1 had a great time at Sea World. We were tossing up between the 3 main amusement parks in the area and glad we chose this one as our kids really enjoyed the animal shows and the rides targeted for toddlers. Just get to the shows early as seats fill quickly. A couple of tips - If your kids are a sleep in the pram before a show starts they will let you in with a pram and you get pretty good seats as well, otherwise you have to leave your pram outside of the show area. If you have RACV insurance (or any online booking) book through them as its a little cheaper and you skip the big line to get in. I think this is the best amusement park for young kids, especially for a 1 year old who can not go on many rides. So if you have young kids (toddler age) this would be the safe option. The only downfall is the food is very expensive so bring plenty of snacks and water bottles for the kids.

“Average to say the least”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

Ok we went December 2012,, ok my tips are
Book your tickets on line( ie thru NRMA) to avoid the queue, and they are also a bit cheaper.
Get there at 10.00am when the park opens so you can see all the shows and make a full day.
Take a hat /sunscreen as it can get hot there.
You cannot take food into the park only for babies ,or dietary requirements and yes they do have people checking bags.,however they have a food court there and also a licenced pub for when one wants a beer!
Ok there is lots to do , however the old rides like the Bermuda Triangle, the log ride are no longer there they have been pulled down to make way for new rides coming in 2013.Also dont go there on a cloudy day as we did( i know you cant predict the weather) but they will stop all rides ,roller coasters, jet ski show and even the mono rail and you will have to wait in the air above ground in a un airconditioned cabin like we did, if there is lightning in the area due to safety ,so this can make the day even shorter as all you can only look at so many animals. But it is pricey but its ok
